About time hopefully Joshua won't duck if Joshua fights povetkin he is a true champion for doing what Wilder wouldn't. And that's cus I like Wilder and hate Joshua. https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/boxing/5252943/anthony-joshua-alexander-povetkin-wba-mandatory/
Hearn already approached Rabinsky about a possible fight in the future. They said Povetkin isn't ready, lol.
If he isn't ready, he never will be anymore as the guy is declining. Maybe he wants it as a cashout, ride into the sunset kinda fight.
No, I was just trolling lol. Rabinsky just said after the Hammer fight that Povetkin couldn't fight Joshua like that and it blew up on boxing forums that he said he wasn't ready for the fight, which obviously was taking Rabinsky out of context. Hearn has said in interviews before that he had spoken to Rabinsky about a possible fight in the future. That part was true.
I'll be hyped for Povetkin / Joshua! Sasha will give AJ a stiff challenge, and I think he could beat him.
I've said for ages that I think Pov can cause AJ a lot of problems. If he can throw his hooks high from a low position he will certainly cause issues IMO
I'm sure he'll have some success once he can get inside on Joshua but once he does I can't help but envision that uppercut separating Povetkin from his senses, especially the way he looked vs Hammer, he spent far too much time just standing in front of Hammer doing nothing.
Time is running out ,soon Joshua will have fought all the relevant top fighters out there. Wilder better get that Kyotaro Fujimoto fight to even out the comparison of resumes.
Povetkin didnt go for the kill vs Hammer because he didnt want to look too good and let the champions believe he is declining...
Yeah, he didn't look great. But I wonder how much of that was to do with the fact it was only Hammer standing in front of him. When AJ inexorably crushes him in a round I'll just avoid the forum for a few months. Sunrise, sunset.
Povetkin took 4 years until he felt confident enough to fight Wlad. I hope he won't need as long for AJ.
