Hagler vs Barkley..who wins and why?

Hagler would absolutely maul Barkley.

 

At MW, Hagler would win. But at higher weights, Barkley being 6'1", Iran's chances improve.

 

Hagler by brutal knockout. He was the better boxer, quicker hands and an iron chin.

 

Brutal short fight. Hagler soaks up the bombs of Barkley whilst mixing his own in. But Iran is no dog, he keeps bravely firing back. Marvin cuts through with a barrage in the 5th, to drop his bloodied opponent. Hagler claims after he's never been hit so hard.

 

Hagler was far more impressive vs Hearns than Barkley was in both fights, Hearns was out-boxing Barkley before being caught but Hagler was out-brawling Hearns and walking through his shots while using clever infighting skills, look how Hagler handled a 33 year old Duran compared to Barkley who got beat and decked, the second Hearns fight saw a slower, heavier Tommy without the old speed and look what Nigel Benn did to Barkley Hagler would have toyed with Benn then destroyed him, no comparison, Hagler could take Barkley`s shots.

 

Nigel Benn knocked Barkley out in a round and Duran dropped him, Toney also stopped him.

Barkley vs Hearns one was a brutal but short war. Barkley though victorious
ended up in hospital and required plastic surgery for eye cuts. Imagine what
Hagler pin point accurate punches would do .

Hearns was just as sharp as Hagler. Barkley won the fights, but after Hearns 2 he was shopworn.
