Holmes hit harder than Ali, had more stamina, a much better punch variety, and unlikely Ali could in-fight.

Frazier isn't going to catch Holmes on the ropes and if there was a punch Larry had issues with it was the right hand, which Frazier didn't feature.

    Holmes via TKO, late.

I rank Larry very high both resume and h2h, but peak Frazier is one of the worst match-ups for him style wise...

As can be seen by your back to back threads you dislike Holmes intensely. Why?

Holmes never had to face anyone like Joe Frazier. At least not during his title reign. Not a knock on Holmes there just are not that many Joe Frazier`s out there. The kind of pressure and relentless style that Joe brought to the table isn't something that is easy to prepare for. We don't know how Holmes would hold up against that kind of non stop attack.

On the other hand we saw Joe face a boxer of Holmes caliber and not only win but put {Ali} through the ringer 3 times.

Holmes would handle himself just fine. Only tall jabbers bothered him or elusive fighters such as Spinks . Did we also forget 42 year old Holmes went 12 with Holyfield ?

Frazier would struggle and this is apparent with his Mathis fight. Holmes would have target practice with oh so easy head first Frazier.

I actually think Holmes would sneak in those fast straight right hands in between the jabs and somewhere along the way land his uppercuts...

Frazier would get frustrated BC Holmes was not only harder hitting then Ali but more accurate too. Holmes jab was by far harder to get by than Ali's BC it had more thrust behind it so he didn't have to move around as much as Ali to keep guys at bay.

Yes he would. Right up until the moment the referee intervenes to save him. Larry Holmes would always had a lot of courage and he would behave like a champion right until the end. At the end of the day he was facing a nightmare in Joe Frazier.

Agree with all of that ETM except I think Larry would behave like a champion tight until the press conference. That would be the point at which Larry would somehow find a way to snatch moral defeat from the jaws of moral victory. It's what he did.
