Tough fight for Joshua. If Joshua tries and goes for the KO he likely gets stopped when he gasses from trying to stop the iron chinned Ike.

We never really saw Ibeabuchi vs a genuine super heavyweight, his best wins over Byrd and Tua were against short heavies. Could he cut off the ring well enough, how would he cope with being out jabbed for long periods. Ike tends to get over rated because of those 2 wins but there were a lot of unanswered questions about Ike.

Joshua despite his short career is probably more proven. With the right strategy I could see him winning a decision, he would need to box more like he did vs Breazeale. But we know Joshua loves a KO, can he stay disciplined, not sure if he could. We'll know more as his career unfolds.

I think Ike can handle AJ surprisingly easy. He'll take it for a while level pegging and Joshua slowly gets beat down. Ike was a no **** kind of fighter. Size or power wouldn't phase him imo. A naturally harder man imo !

If Ike can handle Tua's power then he'd have no problem with Joshua's. I don't see how Joshua keeps Ike off of him. And if he does it will take a considerable amount of energy on Joshua's part. He would most likely gas at some point and I see Ike coming on strong for the late KO.

    Ike all the way.

As limited as Tua is, especially in ring generalship and boxing iq, and with his short stature.... I don't think Joshua can hold him off like Lewis, let alone trying to fight him like Ike did.

Both like to go forward both huge punchers

But for me Ike as a way better chin and durability
Ike by ko3 with a jab
    And I ain't joking

Ibeabuchi is very, very overrated on here. Lol And he arguably lost that fight against Tua. I thought David edged that one.

    It’s a toss up.

There were also a lot of questions answered about Ike the President Ibeabuchi such as his grade A chin, conditioning, power, ring generalship and boxing skills. I like Joshua a lot but from what we have seen to date Ike Ibeabuchi would win the battle of Nigeria. Even Frank Maloney admitted that Ike was the one heavyweight he did not fancy for Lewis as it would have been Holyfield all over again just bigger, stronger, faster and yes better.

In 10 out of 10 fights

Ike Ibeabucci wins the Intra-Nigerian affair

AJ keeps things even for the first half of the fight
Ike keeps the work rate & forces AJ to use more energy than ever before
AJ survives better in the rematch, holding IKE, but IKE upper cuts keep landing clean...
    Down goes AJ, waived...TKO again

If Ike was active in the social media era, he might be able to get the deal he wanted cutting promoters/managers out, but it will not last long, they will send him another escort...and send him back to Jail...No one will sympathize with him, because he is beastly looking Creature that raped an innocent Escort

I cant see how AJ wins. He hasn't the tank or the chin for a long haul fight with Ike

Only questions he answered was he had a good chin, could beat up smaller men and had a good engine. We never saw him in with a genuine quality super heavyweight. Could he really cut off the ring against a good boxer with big reach advantage like Lewis? Tua came right at him, Byrd likes to fight in the pocket neither of those fights would prepare him for someone like Lewis, who would out jab him, keep him from range and smother his combinations and inside work with tactical clinching. How does Ike do when he's the one being out muscled by the bigger man. Look at how Lewis manhandles Grant who was just as physically imposing as Ike if not more so.

Ike would of course been a dangerous fight for anyone but people thought Golota was the next big heavyweight monster after he beat up Bowe. People thought the same about Ruddock after going to war twice with Tyson and we saw how Lewis dealt with them.

Ike was a good fighter but let's not pretend that he was thoroughly tested like Holyfield, Lewis and Tyson who fought numerous elite heavyweights of varying sizes and styles, along with a few great ones.

As for Joshua as I said he might very well be too good for Joshua. Currently I'd probably favour Ike but not by much.

2 of my favourite fights to watch are ibeabuchi v tua because they were 2 unbeaten heavys who really went at it in a great fight.

and ibeabuchi v byrd because i could not stand byrd / he was a whiner/spoiler /moaner / he even got stopped by ibeabuchi while moaning.

joshua has big advantage in size /length/ ways to win the fight
ibeabuchi has advantages of chin /stamina

ibeabuchi was only 6.1 /6.2 maybe / liked to fight upclose
handspeed ibeabuchi and joshua about the same

things we dont know is could ibeabuchi walk through joshua power to get to the inside or would joshuas power be enough to make him cautious and reluctent to walk AJ down just as tua was v lewis .

because ibeabuchi is clearly psychotic we never new just what he could and could not do /
at a guess ibeabuchi had the right style and power to beat joshua .

both at 20-0 now albeit joshua all kos and ibeabuchi had a few points wins albeit marion wilson and david tua were virtually unstoppable .

first time i watched the OZ series and the big nigerian psycho inmate came on i thought of ibeabuchi.

    Ibeabuchi wasn't better than Holyfield.

Yes the Tua fight was an excellent heavyweight fight but Tua was better more comprehensive by both Lewis and Byrd.

Yes Ibeabuchi beat Byrd, but it was a fight as short it was that Ibeabuchi was losing until the hail Mary.

Ike was a good contender but it's a disgrace for him to be in the same sentence as Evan Fields.....plus Ike was a sex pest.

Horrible style match up for AJ and I'm a fan of his!
