Simon was elite and he pushed him on 24hrs notice, and he blitzed british and euro champions. With Vargas, I wouldn't of bet big money because of Alexanders 1 punch power, although he would be the underdog !
I would liked to have seen Alexander fight Simon with a proper camp. He wouldn't have had control of his weight with such short notice and struggled with getting it down !
Alexander was a LMW, the Simon fight was at MW. Alexander would have had a good chance if he landed against the LMWs

You are correct. It was Simons fight after where he went up to MW. That was Simons last defence of the WBO LMW title. Simon was a very good fighter
imagine though 24hrs to get weight down for a fighter as good as Simon, its gonna really cripple you. He was weakened you can guarantee it. Yeah Simon was a beast !
