    Probably not.

The boxing authorities owe Canelo big time, for staging a FIXED FIGHT against Floyd at Haymon, ODLH, and Vegas's instigations, because they all needed to preserve the then upcoming Floyd vs Pac multi-million dollar event to bring lots of $$$$ revenue to Vegas, so Canelo was forced to faked it and "throw the fight" against Floyd, to help the then upcoming Floyd vs Pac fight.

So now Vegas is returning the favor back to Canelo, with gift decisions, and they must because Canelo sacrificed his "0" in the fake fight against Floyd.

    That's one judge.

So you're saying that Oscar risks charges for criminal bribery and only pays one judge off? LOL

Some of you GGGoons are dumber than rocks.

Probably? It was pretty much a shut out for Mayweather in the eyes of anyone who saw the fight. Even Mayweather haters couldn't bring themselves to justify that draw card with their line of attack being that he 'drained' a 'green' Canelo.

Seriously get a grip because the pro-Canelo scoring in the Mayweather fight was nothing short of disgraceful.

There is a reason why we boxing had judges. If you think half the judges DKSAB, what do you think the casuals know?

Fact is the fight was very close. Anyone who argues that rounds 1, 2, 3, 10, 11, and 12 could in no possible way be fairly scored for Canelo is either bias or DKSAB.

As a body of work though I think you'd have to be biased to give it to Canelo. Golovkin clearly won the fight - not as handily as I expected him to but he was definitely the winner and FWIW I'd laugh my ass off if Canelo legit schooled GGG in the rematch. The forum would be ablaze.

What an exaggeration on your part.

The fight was clearly competitive, and Floyd was a sucker for the feints.

One thing is saying Floyd won the majority of the rounds, another thing is saying Floyd dominated all the rounds. The rounds themselves were very close for the most part.

One can make a convincing argument for Mayweather winning ALL 12 rounds. That should tell you all you need to know.

And THEN you have Nelo fans saying that you can make a case for Canelo deserving a draw based off him not being battered in any of the rounds he was clearly losing and that he should be given preferential judging just for making Mayweather work to win rounds. Sweet baby Jesus that's setting the bar low for him to pick up a D or W.

You think wrong. Canelo clearly landed the best punches in rounds 1-3, and 10-12, Golovkin landed a few more punches than Canelo, but they were mostly jabs. The jab is not an equal punch to a clean power punch as much as you guys would like to think.

Before the fight took place I said that this fight was 50/50 as they got. In the rematch I would make Canelo the favorite considering he is in his prime, is still willing to learn, would have adapted better to 160, and his obvious downfall was his stamina which he should work on.

Golovkin fought the best fight he possibly could, I could tell he gave it his all by the way he looked in between rounds, I don't see what else he can improve on, body shots? There is a reason why he didn't do that. Canelo is shorter, and he is a lot faster than GGG, that means GGG would have to reach much lower to punch leaving his head exposed for the counter a lot longer.

Anyone who argues that Floyd won all 12 rounds needs to start watching another sport, because boxing isn't for you.

Didn't @IntentionalButt score it 12-0? Or did I make that up?

I also find it laughable that you seem to have such a problem with a 12-zip card for Mayweather but have yet to condemn anyone who is stupid or biased enough to think Canelo did enough to justify getting given a draw.

    No, you're right, I did.

Here's my justification of that scorecard, when I rewatched the fight a few years later and scored it again:

I don't think we can have a sensible discussion regarding Canelo. You're clearly a fan and that's great - I like the fact you're passionately behind your guy - but it doesn't make for a fruitful discussion. I mean, as I said to you before you see the Mayweather fight as close when under a 10-9 system it was anything but.

If Nelo wins the rematch clean then good for him. And that may well happen. But there's nothing you can show me from their first match that is going to change my mind. I've watched it and like the vast majority of boxing fans think there's a clear winner.

IsaL and shadow111 are both alright, except when discussing Canelo, at which point objectivity flies out the window for both of them.
