After he wins the tourney he is a ATG

I also think he can win a strap in heavyweight he would beat wilder and parker for me

    Thoughts?

Let's see if he can clean this tournament out first. Then mention the heavyweight route.

If he wins the tournament alone he should be strongly considered to be a ATG

Don't think a CW should ever be considered ATG tbh it's such a poor division and a lot of the contenders regulary double up as hw journeyman.

If he wins this tourney, which I fully expect him to do, then yes he is definitely on the cusp of it. Especially considering he’s doing this in such a short amount of pro fights. And I like his chances at being the man up at HW too. Very, very skilled boxer. And he’s very feel too.

Lets see here. Never beat a top 10 P4P opponent, hasn't dominated a division for any significant length of time, still fighting at the same weight he started in. As far as the tournament goes, no one win catapults him into ATG status, although it can be used to justify his place among the greats after his career is over, if he wins. He will be on the cusp if he wins the tournament, unifies the division and rules with an iron fist for several years, moves up to heavy wieght and wins a few belts while fighting like hell in all his loses, if he loses.

If he wins this tournament, he is an atg CW. He'd actually have as good an argument for #2 CW all time as anyone. (But then whoever wins the tournament probably would).

If he stays at CW a few more years, cleans it out even more and doesn't get embarrassed at HW, he could go down as the GOAT CW.

What do you mean a ATG? Like the best cruiserweighter ever?
I would say Usyk should definitely be on every p4p list' top 10 at least, if he wins this tournament.

Winning the tournament and unify the division probably put him on the cusp of HOF career.
It would be equivalent of Ward winning the super6.
I would not called ward an ATG at that stage, probably not even now after beating the man at lightheavy although it's certainly arguable that he is.

If Usyk chooses to defend his crown a few times or manage to grab a belt at heavyweight, we can call him a contemporary great, similar to Ward at present stage. He would need to do something really special to be considered an ATG.

Standards to be an ATG must be at an All Time Low.

    LOL

It's one of the best and most stacked divisions currently out there along with 147 and 175.

Good comparison with Ward and the super 6.

Off the cusp of that alot of people on here seem to think he'd reached ATG status, I wonder if the same people say the same about Usyk?

Imo the cruiserweight tournament is of better quality than the super 6 and if Usyk cleans house, whilst not a ATG he's certainly on the right track to be one.

    :shakehead:

Says who? It's a competition that has to be watched on the internet and not a prime cable network like the Super 6 Tournament was on Showtime. I have never seen this Cruiserweight event once and no one talks about it, no one and you know it. No amount of delusion a boxing board will make this CW tourney popular. Nobody cares.
I have seen more news about McGregor wanting a Mayweather rematch than this CW tournament.
