Yes, good point. If CEJ wins the WBSS (he's the betting favourite) Saunders' stock goes up again too.

You've got guys listing Pirog over Sturm.

    That's just wrong.

A lot of people are doing it by H2H ability, in which case Pirog may well beat Sturm.

But yeah, in terms of accomplishments you're completely right.

Pirog would have whooped Sturm's arse, plain and simple. I could care less if Pirog had a short career, when Sturm was over in Germany fighting can after can, being a coward and refusing to fight guy's he thought were killers. Pirog also has a better win on his ledger. Winky Wright would have also beaten Sturm.

Bjs did ...barely....win an appalling scuffle against a very green Eubank at the time.
Leaving aside how awful the fight was....beating thatversion of Eubank counts for very little. Billy had vast amateur experience and was faaaar further along in his development at the time than eubank was then.

Did you see Sturm v zbik?
Zbik was leagues better as a boxer than Lemieux.
Sturm was excellent in that fight.

The Lemieux win was his best by far CST.
Bjs barely...barely... scraped past the very limited lee...and also the very green Eubank.

As for you and buttsy sharing the same opinion.....they do say great minds think alike. Mind you they also say fools seldom differ!! :) I'll give you two the benefit of the doubt on this one and assume it's the former....:)

I hope that ib meant GGG has the best resume including maravilla...not "post" Sergio.....and in saying that I'm a big admirer of Sergio....but I have no doubt GGG is the better of the two, high praise indeed.

Im surprised Sturm isnt rated higher. He was a 4 time MW champ who also became a SMW champ.
At MW he won WBO, WBA and IBF titles and was a winner of 15 MW title fights, 2 draws, 4 losses

hey if thats H2H then 3G should be above BJS at the very least, and at the most level with Canelo (having proved his equal).

While I agree Sturm lost some fights he also won many at MW in title fights.
Also look at some of the names he did beat like Schenk, Sylvester, Zbik, Barker.
There are also some Sturm fights that could have been argued for him like Geale, De La Hoya etc
