Williams wasn't a patch on Bowe. He had a bad set of whiskers for starters!

I'm going with the version of each opponent that faced Holmes v. Prime Holyfield, not absolute prime opponent, so, in a way, Holyfield has the advantage here over Holmes and v. Holmes Opponents. I've bolded the matchups I think prime Holyfield would lose.

Note: as someone pointed out, OP forgot Marvis Frazier

Holyfield vs Norton: Norton Win UD Holyfield
Holyfield v. Evangelista: Holyfield KO 6 Evangelista
Holyfield v. Occasio: Holyfield KO 10 Ocasio
Holyfield v. Weaver: Holyfield Win UD Weaver
Holyfield v. Shavers: Holyfield TKO 10 Shavers
Holyfield v. Zanon: Holyfield KO 4 Zanon
Holyfield v. Jones: Holyfield TKO 11 Jones
Holyfield v. Ledoux: Holyfield TKO 9 LeDoux
Holyfield v. Berbick: Holyfield Win UD Berbick
Holyfield v. Leon Spinks: Holyfield TKO 8 Spinks
Holyfield v. Snipes: Holyfield win UD Snipes
Holyfield v. Cooney: Holyfield TKO 10 Cooney
Holyfield v. Cobb: Holyfield Win UD Cobb
Holyfield v. Rodriguez: Holyfield Win UD Rodriguez
Holyfield v. Witherspoon: Witherspoon TKO 10 Holyfield
Holyfield v. Frank: Holyfield TKO 9 Frank
Holyfield v. Frazier: Holyfield KO 5 Frazier
Holyfield v. BoneCrusher Smith: Holyfield Win UD Smith
Holyfield v. David Bey: Holyfield TKO 11 Bey
Holyfield v. Carl Williams: Holyfield TKO 7 Williams

Not bad enough to handle a better version of Bert Cooper better than Holyfield did.

Agree with all except I think Holyfield stops Shavers clearly and convincingly. I'd even pick the CW Holyfield from Qawi 2 to when he stopped De Leon to beat Shavers.

    Are you still here?

I thought you spent your entire days sifting through the archives for more evidence of irrational Marciano nut huggery?

    Welcome back!

I keep thinking about the Quarry blow out and in my mind, a prime HW Holyfield was clearly superior to Quarry. I could see it being a war if Holyfield has a performance like he did with Bert Cooper, if he has a performance like he did vs old Foreman, Holyfield wraps up Shavers early in a one sided fight. Some of those shots he rocked Foreman with would've put Shavers to bed.

I didn't include that pitiful version of Ali because I thought it'd go without saying that any prime/near prime version of Holyfield would maul Ali at that point in a "fight" that would resemble a hyena torturing a wounded antelope on the nature channel.

I'd favor Spinks, Michael that is, over a CW Holyfield like I favor Floyd Patterson over CW Holyfield. Holyfield at heavy, I think his physicality would be too much for both men, but it could be competitive still.

I can see Spinks winning a split decision, but please explain Witherspoon stopping Holyfield in 10?

Or it could turn into a Alex Stewart type fight, with holy field taking the hard punches to come back and stop shavers late on .

Out of these, I can see Holyfield losing one or two. At his very best he could beat them all, but Evander wasn't the most consistent HW.

Harderst opponents for Holy to beat would be
    Norton
    Witherspoon
    Williams (till he gets caught)
    M Spinks

Serious challengers also would be (not much chance of winning vs Holy, but all would be tough fights)
    Weaver
    Shavers
    Berbick
    Snipes
    Cooney
    Smith

Easy opponents with Holy in no danger of losing these fights at any moment

    Evangelista
    Occasio
    Zanon
    Jones
    Ledoux
    Leon Spinks
    Cobb
    Rodriguez
    Frank
    David Bey

Spinks should beat a 36 year old Evander. He should beat the rest, but he wasn’t consistent like Holmes so he’d probably lose at least once.

Berbick would have a chance of winning via Ruiz impersonation.

Michael Spinks under hardest to beat category and Leon Spinks under easiest to beat category
