Oh sorry I didn`t know you meant he put on weight after the weigh in, you weren`t detailed enough, like Conor came in against Floyd at 170lbs come fight time!

Floyd was a great fighter, the best of his generation

    but.................

He needs to respect the greats that preceded him.

Floyd arguably losing to Castillo is more embarrasing than Leonard losing to Duran.

I had hoped he would retire undefeated....

but his ego will likely prevent it

It's been the downfall of many a great fighter before him.

I wish Conor was around in the 80's and fought Hagler or Hearns instead

The man was polite in saying that saying one ATG would beat another is an opinion.
He was completely correct, there is no virtue in being unfriendly.
Nor in pretending a view on who would win a fight is in any way a fact.

Mayweather jr would have definitely been a decent boxer in Leonard's era. Top ten, for sure - but towards the wrong end of it.

Leonard would beat Mayweather, as would Hagler, Hearns and Benitez. Of the top five, Duran would destroy Mayweather, as would the young Ray Leonard. Only Benitez would be close, but I'd say Mayweather would lose a close one there, too.

Even in his own era, Pacquiao would have beaten Floyd during the peak years when Mayweather studiously ducked him.

Floyd handpicked his way to his undefeated record. I always thought anyone with an undefeated record did not fight the best there was. Losing is part of fighting the best.
