If the judges thought fight 1 was close I can see Canelo getting at least another
"draw" if Canelo is still standing at the final bell

I see a GGG win still. I don't think Canelos adjustments will be enough and I think this time if GGG adds in some body work he should get it decisively.

I actually think Gennady is the one with far more room for improvement. Whether that translates to him actually improving or not remains to be seen. But I thought GGG clearly won the first encounter, and I think he has lots of areas where he can do better.

That's not to say Canelo can't or won't improve. Canelo is clever and able, but I feel Gennady has the tools to improve considerably more.

This...I think Golovkin will go more to the Body in the next fight....and hopefully the Judges are not hand picked...

valid point for sure cause had they a case for giving Canelo the win first time round they would of but even with the crooked judge they couldn’t possibly give it to him.
Is Canelo the only guy who both from fans and judges gets points for just about anything he does he k he even gets points for being put on the ropes and taking shots, conversely it also seems that any opponent of GGGs who survives to the Bell also gets credit even though they’ve had their head jabbed off every round lol.

Shame really as Canelo is talented in his own right and Oscars involvement is tarnishing what he’s doing in the ring,I think most of could live with the draw that night but what folk don’t like is obvious corruption like the 118/110 score card.

Yes good point cause so many are talking like only Canelo can up his game,I had Golovkin winning as did Box nation commentators who round by round had Canelo up in first three rounds and after that despite em looking for rounds for Canelo they could only score it for GGG,case in point in round ten Canelo comes out magnificent but only for half a minute and GGG and Able made a point of giving him nothing at the end of each round.

I though GGG was a tad disappointing actually,no body shots and where were the looping over the top devastating punches ala Rubio?
I think we’ll see more of the same from Canelo,he ain’t gonna stand toe to toe with Golovkin just cause he’s getting stick from fans for his lack of Mexican style and unless he’s managed to sort out his cardio issues then it’ll go the same way as that kid just gasses out after four rounds and goes to the ropes,it’s a habit we’ve seen from him time and again and only in that psy op with Chavez jnr did we see him with boundless energy.
Golovkin just doesn’t know how to lose and unless someone can knock him out he’s just gonna keep coming putting that pace on that even at 35 nobody can seem to live with.

For sure as Ward with his old fashioned grind em style takes away power punchers whereas Canelo and this is why I like him is a straight up guy, can’t ever remember anything remotely dirty about him in the ring.

Depends on how much GGG has aged since the last one. Needs to go to the body more. The way Canelo gassed, it could have turned out differently with body shots added to the mix.

    Winner better face Saunders next.

Golovkin going to the body could be a big mistake because of Canelo's superior counter-punching skill. Going to the body on Canelo puts Golovkin squarely in Canelo's punching range. Also with how skilled Canelo is fighting off the backfoot, if Golovkin tries to land on the body, Canelo could step back, avoid the power of Golovkin's attempt at a body punch and counter with a devastating left hook or right uppercut that could change the fight. I'm not sure if the risk of trying to land body punches on Canelo is less than the reward. Canelo has such a tight guard it will be difficult for Golovkin to find those openings. Golovkin's best chance at trying to land a powerful body punch is to counter a Canelo punch ducking down and digging in. But Golovkin doesn't appear to have the speed or the upper body movement to do that. Golovkin is very stiff and upright and Canelo gives him a very small target for body punches and very small windows to land impactful body punches. On the other hand, Golovkin's body is a bigger target and Canelo has the speed to take advantages of openings to Golovkin's body as Golovkin is busier, always coming forward, etc. In short, it's a big risk to Golovkin's health for him to try to land body punches on Canelo. If he follows your advice it could cause Golovkin to get hurt or lose more rounds due to the consequences of him trying to do that.

I think GGG took more punishment against Canelo than he ever has in any fight.

The body punches and some of those head shots that Canelo landed were brutal and possibly took a lot out of him.

In Vegas, Canelo wins the rematch by SD, MD or close UD regardless of how much Golovkin goes to the body. Either that, or the matchup is festooned by a referee who crumbles under the pressure of the big occasion and stops the fight way too early after a Canelo flurry in the mid-rounds, with Golovkin completely unhurt by the barrage.

I think the fight took the prime out of canelo even though he survived for twelve rounds his body went stiff in the last round when ggg landed.
I don't think he will survive another twelve rounds I saw a dejected and beaten man in canelo at the end.

Canelo can't improve in the rematch. If he fights more he will get ktfo and if he moves more he will land less. Canelo over performed in this fight by surviving and not being kod. GGG underperformed by his standards and didn't even use body shots which account for alot of his stoppages.
I see canelo trying to trade with ggg and getting stopped because ggg will make a point of throwing body shots.
