Joshua - Parker, Crolla, Campbell, Yafai, Burnett, Fielding, as well as all the youngsters still to come too.
It's good but Warren really needs to promote these shows better. Nothing worse than half empty arenas or even leisure centres to kill the mood for a viewer. He needs to find a way to expose lads to more of the public and not make stupid decisions like having a Welshman and a scouser top the bill in Newcastle after all the Geordies have fought. Or have chief support fight of the year contender in Manchester then half an hour wait before they put a woman fight, followed by another half an hour wait before Terry Flanagan. The arena was dead after it was booming earlier. Who the hell is advising decisions like that.
His shows finishing at about 3am don't help either. Does he realise people actually have to get home somehow.
The boxing on TV in the last year, with a handful of exceptions, was absolute pony. Compared to 5-10 years ago it is dreadful and now the PPV mugs are being fleeced to the last penny with Fraud v Conman exhibition fight, Haye v Bellew in the make PPV money non title fight, Joshua v Takam, Eubanks Jnr v Pony on ITV and Hughie the Skirt Fury v Parker. Probably the worst year ever for Boxing fans on TV.
It was. Thankfully this year there’s already more better cards announced than the whole of last year!
Warren has got 10 Feb Tete vs Narvaez 14 Apr Flanagan vs Hooker 21 Apr Frampton vs Donaire 19 May Selby vs Warrington Not as bad as some people are making out.
Fury letting his heart rule his head. He should be thinking about number 1, and went with matchroom. They actually would give him the platform to reintroduce himself to the general public and show a different side of himself. IFL isn't watched by the mainstream but Sky Sports is
But it would 100% benefit Fury if he signs with Matchroom. He would have Bellew,Whyte,Joshua within a arms reach and it would stop any politics.Him and Hearn also i think would be a great match, entertaining, funny characters. And Most important thing is Fury will make big money with Sky Behind him.Him going to Warren just makes it harder
BT really isnt even a TV Company. It's a Telecommunications Company. It's in the words,BRITISH TELECOMMUNICATIONS.It has nor expertise in PPV Events and Sky are going to be asked to share the biggest fight in British Boxing History with them,If you were Sky wouldnt you feel enraged and try and stop it from happening.I give Sky a lot of flak but they have played a big part in British Boxing becoming Hot and Hearn't would definitely not agree to a Shared Broadcast
Sky scrapped ringside which was good for reviews of upcoming fights etc. The odd scrap of news on Sky Sports simply inadequate. Bring back Ringside I say along with decent bi-weekly cards.
What’s one sided? I’ve went on frank warrens website and matchrooms and compared what shows they’ve got announced so far. It’s just facts. There’s nothing twisted or left out.
Of course it is. You leave out Flanagan v Hooker and Selby v Warrington which are both world title fights. You also mention Amir Khan as a standalone but only Tete v Narvaez off a bill that is being sold as Dubois,Yarde and Skeete headlining. I'd say you attempted to prove your argument by distorting the facts.
Flanagan Hooker and Selby Warrington aren’t on frank warrens website yet as upcoming events. Tete is the headline fight. Amir Khan is the headline fight. The three undercard fighters you’ve just named haven’t got opponents yet and it’s 28 days out so it’s hardly something to get excited about. “British beef” has a strongish if not interesting undercard I didn’t mention that either. I didn’t mention that Joe Joyce will be on the bellew bill either. So I haven’t distorted anything. https://www.frankwarren.com/ Look at his upcoming events http://www.matchroomboxing.com/fight-nights/ Look at matchrooms. Didn’t leave anything off or add anything in. And we all know Joshua Parker is a basically done deal and I didn’t even bring that in to it.
