although gavern isn't great, you have to take his word for this. people question why Joshua blows people out so quickly and effectively wel gavern/molina has explained it. unless your in their with him you can never really comment.

It's not just about how hard someone hits though. It's also about skills, experience and... ohh, right.

Let's see if Wilder beats Ortiz before we go talking about any massive encounter between AJ and Wilder. Right now except for having a belt, Wilder offers no more a challenge on paper to AJ than Ortiz, Sasha, or even Parker. So let's focus on AJ Parker and Wilder Ortiz first, then the winners can clash in a real superfight.

Technique and accuracy add to harder punches. Speed combined mass add to more power.

Fighters usually have one or the other, Joshua has both ...he's more like Foreman's heavier handed shots but he has all the other tangibles I mentioned.

He also has 30 pounds or so on Wilder and has knocked down guys even when they blocked his shots and gets guys out of there with half the punches Wilder throws, referee stoppage or not he's rattling guys far easier.

Better opponents altogether who are proven tougher to knockout.

    Joshua hits harder.

He got to catch him clean first
I still pick Wilder to win for some reason

So a guy who fought both of these men makes his judgement on who hit him harder, but because hes a bum his opinion is irrelevant right Wilder fans? Imagine if he said Wilder hit harder then oh my God, that would be it, Wilder would be a dead cert to KO Joshua. Suck these nuts.

Both fighters have different types of power.

I'd say Wilder is probably the harder single puncher....he has more speed and snap on his punches it seems.

Joshua on the other hand is probably heavier handed and would hit you or hurt you more frequently with his punches....his punching technique is much better.

Having said that going off opposition that both have faced Joshua has disposed of them in much better fashion.

Yes, Joshua hits much harder than Sconiers or Nichols, so he will knock Wilder's arse out! I am tired of Wilder sitting on the fake WBC title.............Joshua needs to knock him out ASAP! However, is Joshua looking past Parker? I think he will beat Parker, Joshua will have the venue, judges, referee, but Parker might surprise Joshua..................we will see............

How do we know that Gavern isn't just playing mind games here? After all, he is the guy that got KO'd in 3 by The Chinese Foreman Junlong Zhang, so are we supposed to believe that based on that Zhang hits harder than Wilder, and equal to AJ, maybe harder? Who knows, no one has seen the KO, like with most in all likelihood rigged Zhang fights. Let's be honest here, Gavern is a gun for hire, he shows up, goes down a few times, gives the opponents a sparkly KO win on their record, and the opponent usually take it easy on him, AJ took it easy on him, and Wilder took it easy on him, watch the matches, its ABUNDANTLY OBVIOUS that that's the case.

The Gavern performance against AJ was disgraceful, I don't think the KO punch even landed, he just flopped down on the ground like a dead fish, and conveniently handed AJ a win one round quicker than the one he gave Wilder, hearn paid him well.

See, Gavern seems happy as a frigging clam he'd just been KO'd. The mother****er was cracking marriage jokes to the interviewer afterward. Its beyond obvious Gavern came there for an easy paycheck, probably to pay for his wedding anniversary that he mentions.

Sidenote, here's the mind game angle... Gavern is a sparring partner of Wilder, he was brought in after the Scott debacle, also a sparring partner, to erase the "fixed Scott fight" stigma from Wilder, Wilder clearly took it easy on him, it was the undercard on Showtime Extreme of Brook-Porter IIRC, no one was watching (but me evidently), it was a glorified sparring session with a rigged ending as well. Gavern might be underselling his fellow American and buddy Wilder, to **** with AJ's head, and give him a false sense of confidence. Think about that angle for a second!:naughty2:
