AJ is the big difference maker, but if he somehow gets utterly slain by Parker (he won't) then I'm not sure who exactly is propping up Hearn's stable.

AJ losing will not diminish his drawing power.

It could. He'd still be a large draw but I think it would be affected. People still loved Bruno but IMO that was because people were invested in that era. Whereas the people invested in AJ are purely invested in him and I think their interest would be impacted if they can't call him the best. That's just the impression I hold from my casual friends anyway.

More to the point, if he were to lose he loses some of his bargaining power in fights. I wonder if he would then decide to leave Matchroom and do his own promotional company. It wouldn't surprise me

Got to respect the heart of TBA to fight 9 times in one night.

Rumour is that Dubois is fighting DL Jones, which is totally pointless and potentially dangerous

I don’t see how it’s potentially dangerous? 8 fights all of which have gone the distance. He’s meant to be a heavyweight!

Be a good fight this for Dubois. Someone who is or appears a bit more durable than previous opponents but at the same time could only muster a draw against Darch so some could view it as a sideways step.

Either way I have no qualms with him taking his time. Still very very young.

You saw the AJ Carter KO, guys at this level in mismatches are in danger of getting seriously hurt. Jones drew against Darch and Dubois just blew him away, it just seems meaningless. I agree he shouldn't be rushed but he's already shown he's beyond area level comfortably. No reason the Nick Webb fight shouldn't happen next

Must admit, this card is an now an utter shambles with more then likely poor ticket sales.

Unless frank can turn it around quicky it’s probably best to cancel.

I think with “British Beef” already selling more than it it’s probably best to cancel to save face, especially when the majority of the card don’t have opponents.

DL Jones is scheduled for a fight with David Howe two weeks after which is baffling.

Dubois needs a test at English Title level and someone who drew with Dorian Darch is not going to provide that.
