Lol Joshua does stand out not being suited. But he obviously is being paid to wear what he does and also I think it's a decision on his part to look more down to earth. He doesn't want to come off as a millionaire sportsman, his brand is to be down to earth. When you look at the biggest draws and most loved boxers in UK history it's been the down to earth types like Cooper, Bruno, Hatton etc that have connected with the public. He knows this and plays up to it.

I think Joshua's the opposite. He advertises his trips to Dubai and talks about his "brand". He mentions wanting to be like Dr.Dre or Floyd Mayweather. He's a walking billboard.
In old parlance he's "a flash git".

Bruno and Cooper dressed smart for these boxing events. I think just about all old school boxers did, and it never effected the perception that they were down-to-earth or from the working class background.

Possessing a nice suit doesn't make a man a millionaire after all.

Joshua possesses plenty of suits but he always seems to dress down for the boxing press conferences. Yes, it's probably the logos and brands he is paid to display.

Eddie Hearn incorrectly claim this fight was the first time in history two heavyweight champions with 100% winning records have fought in a unification or undisputed title fight.

Tyson-Tucker were both unbeaten, for starters.

He's definitely open about the business side of things such as mentioning his brand and wanting to be a billionaire, he doesn't try to hide that or his ambition. But he also talks about living with his mum, how he always goes back to Watford which he shows in every documentary etc.

The Dubai trip was just business it was for an advert. The Mayweather comparison isn't about being flash it's about wanting to aspire to be on his level and he's showing his ambition. You don't see Joshua walking around in Versace or a Chinchilla coat like Wilder or Fury. He doesn't wear gold chains and watches and isn't bedecked in diamonds. While Fury has his custom Mercedes SUV with a Gypsy King coat of arms and a Rolls Royce and Wilder has his fleet of flash cars, Joshua drives a Range Rover which was a gift and an F pace Jaguar.

It pretty obvious to me it's all an act in regards to being down to earth as he lives in a huge mansion in central London but that's what he's trying to portray while being ambitious and business savvy.

He said in the UK specifically which I think is true as I can't think of another time when 2 undefeated heavyweight champs unified in the UK.

I thought it was a bit weird when Hearn started calling out Higgins for his statements at the middle of the press conference.
It seemed like Hearn was trying to scare Higgins a bit "Say it now Josh is only five feet away from you"... which is kind of funny .... but it was very weird how protective he is towards AJ's reputation.

    Fair enough.

Tyson Fury eats/drinks in Wetherspoons. People's Champion, for sure.

Was kind of cringy. Both of those guys are max cringe together. Hearns with his love of playing a tough guy and Higgins with his nerd ass demeanour. I hope in all future press conferences they're made to sit outside until it's done.

But then Parker doesn't say much, truthfully I don't think he gives a **** about saying much so he just says whatever they tell him to say, and AJ just rubs me the wrong way whenever he speaks. Idk what specifically.

Anyway I think I'll just avoid listening to any of them speak until the winner is giving his post fight interview.

He does but in a huge fricken mansion in west London, hence why I say he's faking the down to earth persona, he says he's living with his mum but leaves out it's in like a £25 mill mansion he rents out from someone for stupid money. He apparently bought his mums council flat in Watford.

Joshua might still be on bail and has to reside there when he is not training. No other reason for that clown to be living at home. He probably has to kick Amir Kahn's wife out before his mum gets up in the morning.

Agreed he might be a bit flash but he's about as down to earth at it gets. If he didn't have such controversial beliefs and learned to keep his mouth shut he probably would of been a star, but he is who he is.

I never liked him at first but must admit he's such a character and the division is better for it. You can call Fury a lot of things but he's never boring, even when not fighting he's more entertaining than most active boxers lol.
