Just occurred to me: 18 year old Riddick Bowe didn't look particularly gaunt or shredded at 178. Does that mean that he really has more or less the same frame as Bob Foster?

Where do you guys get the idea that a male skeleton "frame" is a fixed thing? While height is more or less set, bone density continues to grow into the mid 30s in healthy disease free males, largely based off nutritional intake. Of course a man who has consumed enough to weigh 70 pounds heavier, even if they put it on by consuming large quantities of ice cream and milk shakes, is going to have denser bones cause of the vitamin D found in dairy products. Good grief, you guys have no clue.

You ever wander why all fat people in their 30s have giant looking bone structure compared to pictures when they were 20? And why they could never get that small again even if they lost all the fat? Bones get thicker, people. It's fact.

At 18 Bowe didn't have the same body as he had at 25.

I know Bob Foster was still fighting as an amateur at middleweight (165 ?) at age 21.

Bowe would have a smaller skeleton and smaller muscle mass at 18.
I'm not sure how tall he was then.

Why is this even complicated to some people ?

Yeah, a guy that packs on 50 pounds is going have a bigger frame than a guy that maintains a lesser weight. I don't see why it's that hard of a concept to grasp.

What would prompt Foster's bones to increase in density at an expedited weight if he's keeping a diet so strict he hovers in the same range his entire 20s? The human body don't work that way. It needs to be fed.

I just noted Tua's wrist and fist size never increased as he added weight. That seems a remark worth making as we have qualified medical people on here assuring us they would!

Maybe they only measured it once?

Bones getting bigger after age 25? I dont know about that. Denser? Sure. Weightlifting and a calcium and protein rich diet as well as different drugs all do increase bone density but bones actually significantly gaining in circumference? As in growing outward? I dont think so, not unless youre taking absurd amounts of growth hormones

Im pretty sure I went out of my way to specify dentisty in every post.

What exactly is giving you trouble with my wording?

Density means an increase in mass without an increase in volume aka size.

A denser object is an object that is heavier without taking up more space

So they just re-measured his chest, neck, biceps ,forearm etc, but decided leave his wrist and fist alone?

I didnt realize that those varied while the hands and wrist measurements stayed the same.

It makes sense. His hands and wrists shouldnt get bigger unless he really got absurdly obese as in 400+pounds of wheelchair-bound lard

That is the definition of DENSITY
But! Not the definition of DENTISTY!
Now do you see where you are going wrong!

When I boxed my chest was 41/42" its now 45" because it has a covering of fat.
