Why is Pacquiao willing to fight Loma instead of Crawford?

    According to the scene Pacquiao wants the Loma fight, Crawford and Loma are both p4p 1 and 2 in most peoples list regardless of the order, however Crawford fights in Pacquiao weight division which should mean the fight is the easier to make. I got Pacquiao losing to both at this stage of his career, maybe he thinks he will have an advantage by pulling Loma up at least a weight division?

    Thoughts?

    Dude is sick of fighting dudes that outweigh him by 15+ pounds... especially at this stage of his career.

    Horn looked like a super middleweight.

    So he wants to now outweigh Loma? if Pacqiuao didnt want to fight people who outweigh him he should of moved down years ago.

    If OP bothered to read the article, he'd have seen that the plan is still to gun for the Bud-Horn winner later this year.

    That doesn't mean Pac isn't interested in other names.

    It's hilarious people try and paint Pac, who has the highest level of competition fought in this era, as a ducker somehow. In reality, Bob wants to make sure Pac is completely shot before he feeds him to Bud, because he doesn't want his old star to damage the value of his new one.

    It doesn’t matter, he has been fight at 147 for nearly a decade now, that excuse disappeared 6 years ago.

    sorry I didn’t see that line in the article I will admit that, however Pacquiao made no mention of that.

    I’m not painting Pacquiao as a ducker, his resume for the modern era is tremendous but if you can’t see the guy would rather avoid Crawford then your being naive. Both Pac and Roach have made it clear that’s not a fight they are keen on.

    Probably because losing to a weight bully like Crawford, who will get found out and beat in the end, is worse than losing to a future HOF candidate?

    Looool if you don’t think the first undisputed champ in 10 years will make the HOF, not to mention Loma has already been beaten whereas Crawford is still undefeated.

    if you think Loma is better that’s cool no problem but don’t try and detract from Crawford legacy and skills that’s just silly.

    Loma will be taller, younger, fresher, prime, and 138-142 on fight night. Pac, if the fight is contested at 140, will be 142-145 on fight night.

    Crawford will be taller, younger, fresher, prime, and 165+ on fight night (he rehydrated to 158 at 140). Pac will be 148-150 on fight night.

    So the reason is because he willl outweigh Loma? thats cool, I was just wondering why. Manny was prepared to fight Garcia, Horn and Broner all guys that can probably rehydrate to similar levels as Crawford.
