Has anyone here bought tickets for a recent Anthony Joshua fight?

I'm considering trying to get tickets for Joshua / Parker but I have never tried to buy tickets for an event like this before

    1. What chance do I have getting them on General sale?
    2. Would I have a better chance trying to get them from the Principality Stadium site or the Matchroom site (i.e. Stub hub)

I've brought tickets to a few of his fights, including the last Cardiff one, for that fight I got mine through Stubhub (the face value sale, not the resale tickets) - my advice would be to get on to Stubhub's website 30 minutes before they are due to go onsale as they'll be a waiting room in place, once you're through the waiting room them you'll get 15 minutes to purchase, don't mess about too much in there as I have been timed out before and had to join the back of the queue again - do make sure you select the face value sales though rather than resales - that will be a huge financial mistake if you select 'resale tickets'

I will say though that Stubhub isn;t really set up for face value sales, you'll find that you select tickets, try and add them too your basket and then get told that someone else has nabbed them - so be certain of what you want and act quick!

I'm not sure what other outlets are selling for the Parker fight to be honest - but good luck.

Cardiff is a good laugh, loads of bars! I was there for a wedding last year and the rugby was on, a real buzz around the town

Hate to sound elitist but can't stand the thought of going to a Joshua stadium fight surrounded by idiotic football fans and Instagram fangirls spending all undercard taking selfies.

I'll be at OKTFOlie's public execution next month at the O2, anyone else going?

I’ve been to all his fights since Dillian Whyte but I’m a member of the matchroom fight pass thing (shock) so I get priority so I’ve never had a single problem getting them.

I am missing this one though. Someone could potentially use my fight pass details if they wanted up to 6 tickets...

Went to the bar to get a drink before he came on and some guy was going to me. Hes gonna knock him ooooooooowwwwttt. I said who? He said Joooooshuaaaaaaaa. I asked if he was looking forward to the selby fight? He looked as if he had zero idea who Lee selby was nevermimd the fact he was on in 5 minutes!

I wouldn't pay his wages and as people have said the crowd would be annoying people clueless about any fights including Joshua's. These days people go to events like this to say they have and put stuff on instagram. Sad.

What I would say though is Cardiff is a great place for a session.

The tickets are sold in the following order for the huge PPV Matchroom Cards:
    1. Allocation set aside for promoter, fighters and celebs etc.
    2. Ticket Touts given window to purchase unlimited tickets before Matchroom Shyte Pass and general public sales.
    3. Approx. 1% held back from above for Matchroom Shyte Pass holders to buy the day before public sale.
    4. A token 100 tickets go on public sale selling out within 10 secs.

Then you go to Stubhub and any other scum tout website and buy for 2-10 times the face value of the tickets or chance your luck on the night outside the stadium.

Far from it. I go to these fights and have great nights out in London or wherever after it. After that Takam one Cardiff was shite. Couldn’t cope with the influx of people there, didn’t have the infrastructure for it. Plus all the clubs were cockfests. I won’t be going back for this one!

I went to the takam fight I got mine on general sale off stub hub I had to wait in a cue for about 50 minutes, just wait till they announce the date and time of when they are going on sale and go on stub hub.

This fight is not exactly a superfight, people know it and it is going to be hard for the Touts to shift tickets for such a large stadium.

Let the Touts buy them all up like Froch v Groves 2 and you will get in for about 40% of the ticket price by buying outside on the night.

It’s one of the biggest fights that can possibly be made in world boxing right now.

Nowhere near the level of excitement of Doshua v Klit or Groves v Froch unfortunately with Doshua 1/10 odds on at the Bookmakers.

Wilder v Joshua is a superfight - this is simply a routine defence capturing a minor belt in the process.

It’s not a minor belt. It’s one of the best belts in the world and 3 of Joshua’s are on the line too. Not many fights in world boxing will sell out this quick and certainly not an arena of this size. And not many will gross as much as this in ticket sales and PPV buys.

You might dislike Eddie Hearn/Matchroom/Joshua/ even Joseph Parker but no matter how you dress it up and whether you like them or not this is a super fight.
