Rocky with 24lbs extra muscle v Breazeale who typically weighs 255lbs.
    12rds.
    Weight disparity.43lbs.
    Height disparity.9/9.5 inches.
    Reach disparity.13inches.

Can Marciano overcome the size disadvantage?

Here is Brezeales great performance against Izu

He is no joke, at all.

Rocky would slug circles around him though. The difference in pace and speed and activity would be staggering.
He would be too fast, and too powerful, and would have a big target to tee off on.

    Marciano KO 4.

Breazeale has a pretty good chin,I have to doubt Rocky would be too powerful for a man over 40lbs heavier.

Julius Long had 60lb on Ugonoh, and Izu dropped him with a fast right hand.
Would Joe Louis be too light to drop Brezeale too?

    Basically, I disagree.

Brezeales looked seriously gassed by the 4th round. Was also rubbery around the middle and threw very slow
looping punches. IDK, I think any decent HW beats him, including Joshua, Wilder, Povetkin, and Marciano.

No Louis wouldn't be too light to drop Long, nor would Marciano.Long is a low level journeyman a career loser.Breazeale is a few levels above him . I'm just querying whether Rocky would be"too powerful," for Breazeale? Ugonoh is a terrific hard and fast puncher.

I made these couple of threads to explore how Rocky would do against the second tier super heavies today if he had an added 24lbs of muscle on his frame?

Breazeale has literally no movement. Against marciano, he'd definitely be on the back foot with a high guard as usual. I think Breazeale is a tough guy, good chin, so marciano would probably want to go the full 12 rounds and not get caught with any silly shots.

Marciano would be able to run rings round breazeale. And that's even considering marciano is not too clever a boxer, he's more of a brawler. I think we'd see marciano leave just a little left in the tank and manage his stamina throughout the fight. He'd win wide on the cards for sure.

I have it 10 rounds to 2 for Marciano for sure. Breazeale is so slow, offered nothing in the joshua fight until late on. Maybe even a stoppage for marciano in the late rounds, 10/11/12. Despite the disadvantages mentioned, I think breazeale would offer no threat and just be a walking punching bag. He might get a few counter-punches off but nothing significant to hurt marciano.

It's a feasible scenario.Breazeale sure doesn't have much in the way of speed or defence.

At 25 pounds over his best admitted fighting weight, I see Marciano being a sitting duck. He relied so much on his deep bending and flexibility at the waist, that extra baggage would just be an impediment to his small frame. And his stamina would likely be effected disastrously. He just didn't have the right body type to carry extra functional weight.

Breazeale outlasts and sloppily pounds a gassed Marciano in the 10th.

Joe louis had bigger frame than marciano he was naturally bigger and could carry more weight plus he was much faster and was much more accurate puncher and better finisher,he was a combo puncher

I have to say I don't see how 24 extra pounds helps Rocky?

There is this idea that there comes a point where an inferior boxer can beat a better fighter just on sheer size.

And I believe what enforced this belief was that fact that Bowe and Lewis were actually technically advanced master boxers who also happened to be huge. But those guys are not around anymore. Without those two it turns out the overwhelming majority of big giant guys have reverted back to what giant fighters always were years ago. Jess Willard, Carnera, Buddy Baer. Good enough fighters in their own right but no real improvement on the majority of last centuries champions at all.

For every Lennox Lewis there is 30 years of guys like Leroy Jones, James Broad, Jorge Luis Gonzalez, Jamel moline, Valuev, Lucas Browne and Andy Ruiz jnr.

So this belief that sheer size alone will always cancel out even the greatest talented fighters should be rationalised back to how folks thought about this back in The days when the biggest guys fought like Carnera and co. And not like Lewis and Bowe.

Breazeale is a very game guy. There is no quit in him. But a 212 Marciano should be afforded the same odds of winning as a slightly bigger Prime Tyson against this opponent.

Sure Marciano is sacrificing some workrate being heavier but he can afford it against a man with much less stamina.

Guys like Toney, Moorer, Holyfeild, Jones, Micheal Spinks all successfully adapted from lower adult weights than Marciano started out at.

And forget this business of being short. Orlin Norris, mike Tyson, David Tua were all the same similar stamp. They were all built up too.

Being heavier won’t hurt Rocky against a guy that big with such a low output.

Weight isn't the problem the height is. Marciano didn't have a jab to work his way inside and speed is what has caused Breazeale problems. Even if Marciano was getting to him ,this would probably resemble the Mansour fight.

Making Marciano heavier would slow him down at 212. We are also assuming Breazeale is just going to stand there and get grinded down. Breazeale also has decent ability to land uppercuts on swarmers.

Izu is 6'5 and Joshua is 6'6 take power away and they still have reach to set up punches and hurt Breazeale bad. Marciano is going to struggle every round to get the shots to land unless Breazeale just stands there and I can't see that.
