Has anyone here bought tickets for a recent Anthony Joshua fight?

Personally if Joshua did fight Fury I'd love for it to be in Dublin at the Aviva Stadium.

I doubt the police would allow that or indeed Hearn. It's rather boring to just use two stadiums for Joshua fights and is a bit annoying for those in the North.

 

Was out the country last time tickets went on sale but still got tickets quite easily on Stub Hub, the tickets at face value not resale.

We had a good time but you do get some annoying 'casuals' and people who only know Joshua. Get some of the darts crowd there too who are only there to get drunk and act like idiots.

Took us over an hour to get a taxi after the fight though so Cardiff isn't the best place for infrastructure but we sorted a hotel close to the stadium this time. I'd recommend going, should be a good night.

 

Again its more examples of "boxing fans" hating on the sport they supposedly love being a big draw. Everyone will still watch it, if they don't want to watch it I'm sure there's a town hall show they could go and watch instead to prove how hardcore boxing fans they are!

I agree This is a super fight to unify 3/4 main belts, how can it be anything but

For the Molina fight I bought through eventim UK, no issues, not been to the last couple, not a fan of stadium fights as view is appealing unless you paying big bucks, watch it on TV is my advice

 

Absolutely spot on unless you spend 4 figures to get ringside.

 

I'm not into all this casual vs hardcore but I do agree that stadium fights are designed and catered for the more casual fans. Real fans want to see the action and enjoy it. I tried brammall lane because I thought even there worst seats would be as good as mid priced seats at Cardiff/ Wembley, and they were poor. O2 and MEN all day long

 

I'm the same. I don't do any Boxing events held at stadiums. I went to the Joshua vs Molina fight and Parker vs Fury, but I have zero interest in seeing Joshua vs Parker live in stadium for the same reasons. I am looking forward to the fight itself, but it will be on PPV for me.

 

The opponents last fight was a defence against Hughie 'The Skirt' Fury on You Tube PPV FFS.

This is simply just a routine defence for AJ while picking up another minor belt on the way.

 

Never a super fight and never a PPV fight - this has the feel of Wlad v Wach/Pianeta/Mormeck/Thompson/Spud Peter or Vitali v Pudding Chisora/Fanny Charr/Tam Adamek/Shannon Briggs.

All puddings with the outcome nearly 100% certain.

Doshua being 1/20 odds on at bookmakers says it all yet some people think this is a superfight FFS.

The Klit v Joshua fight before he went into the ring with Fury would have been a Superfight but it was 2 years too late for the old man. It was still a great fight though.

Wilder v Joshua is the fight out there boxing needs.

Secondly heavyweight boxing is the holy grail of world boxing. This is two of the 3 champions in the top division putting 4 belts on the line between them infront of 70-80k fans in neithers home town or country for that matter!

So Mr Troll. Over to you. Name 5 other fights that could sell that?

Only Wilder Joshua at Wembley or Golovkin Canelo in Dallas would do more.

 

The name Parker has no relevance at all to Doshua attendances - the same number turned up for Pudding Takam and would turn out regardless even if the opponent was Matt Skelton or Journeyman Chisora.

 

Once Parker gets pumped - will the rest of his fights be on Sky Box Office?
