I can actually imagine this being a clinch filled, draining, pretty rough to watch fight. Probably not a particularly pleasing fight to watch one Dom gets nailed a few times, gasses, and starts to hold and lean on the much smaller Marciano. Could very well end up being a dud of a fight, though I'd favor an original size Marciano to stop Brezeale, no need for a larger one.
If Breazeale was as good as buster Mathis, and I don’t think he is, I would expect Marciano at 212 to beat Breazeale in exactly the way 204lb Joe Frazier beat 243lb Mathis. But Breazeale is not as good as Mathis. This content is protected
Mansour isn't big HW, he's actually 5'11'' and 215 lbs and he dropped Breaseale hard for 9-count, almost knocked him out. But Breaseale is very tough and can come back even in the most dangerous situation.
Mathis did beat Frazier when he was actually healthy not a overweight 245 diabetic. You are also assuming Marciano is able to apply constant pressure on Breazeale who has 4 inches of height on Mathis and 6 inches of reach. Breazeale is also a power puncher with about 90% K.O percentage and extremely durable .
Oh, Frazier only beat Mathis because he was overweight?... Well what do you think Breazeale BMI is? Breazeale is technically too fat to join the armed forces. At 79 inches tall the US military consider any recruit over 229lb too unhealthy for their size. He’s 20lb out of shape according to Uncle Sam. As for Breazeales current KO percentage that’s based on how many ATG fighters? How many Champions? How many contenders? How many guys who were matched to win? I think the trouble with using current fighters in fantasy threads must be that when most of them are riding high the greatest percentage of their fights are made up of professional losers matched to lose. Once a career is over you can focus only on the meaningful fights that actually count.
Mathis wasn't overweight in 1964? Lol Here we go with the ATG card again!!!!!. Why bother making a debate when you can just point out who beat ATG's in EVERY post when comparing new eras?????? Breazeale is 250 when in shape , Mathis at 245 is not. Its painfully clear who's body is leaner. For Breazeale to be out of shape like him at his height he would have to weigh about 270. He only has had 19 fights and fought tough guys , he fought Joshua didn't he? Marciano fought 39 guys below 200 pounds.....at what fight do you consider he himself fought legit opposition? What guy before his 43rd fight would you think defeats Breazeale? If Marciano fought Breazeale opposition do you think he would be 19 and 0 ? If Marciano himself won the championship in 1949 and then had to defend it against the guys he did with just 18 fights do you think he still wins? What makes you think Breazeale in another era isn't an ATG caliber fighter? And if not what constitutes it? What percentage would you give a 6'7 well schooled boxer who could punch at getting a title shot in the 50's? How do you come to the conclusion the guys he has beat wouldn't beat guys in Marciano's era?
he is too fat to even get into the army. You would think any professional athlete would at least pass the requirements to get into the army. any doctor will tell you that 270 is too heavy for a guy that tall. because he isn’t even reaching the standard in this era. He’s not getting better, Dominic is already 32 years old. . “All time” means this time too doesn’t it? That’s supposed to be the starting point.
Real? The way fighters over develop their bodies today it is difficult to know what is real and what is scientific enhancement.
Geez Frazier is underrated as a technical fighter by a lot of people. He had damn good feet for a swarmer. The way Joe stepped to the right and then unloaded the short hook to the chin as Mathis tried to push him backwards using his head was an extremely savvy move. Joe was actually moving backwards when he landed the finisher.
Yes, Frazier was a machine. When the opening dosnt present itself great fighters will orchestrate one. Mathis actually had a better workrate than a lot of big guys too. Another thing people don’t realise is size alone won’t always bridge the gap in talent.
The gap in talent between Marciano and Breazeale is immense. It’s like the gap from one side of the Gand Canyon to the other.
