I found Hamhead's smug expression and showboating annoying and his loss to Marco Barrera satisfying.

Same thing happened to Sergio Martinez vs Pavlik.
But Hopkins got away with it vs Pavlik.

I have no problem with a little showboating during the fight, if the action allows it. But showboating just for the sake of showboating, sometimes even against toroughly overmatched fighters that already came to lose, I really hate that.

Recently saw that Joe Joyce now that's one of the worst cases of showboating.

    edit: thought it was Dubois

There is something wrong about inflicting pain and ridiculing an opponent. Certain fighters would never resort to it. Although it was in the world of mma, Anderson Silva's Ko at the hands of Chris Weidman was a case of instant payback.

This. I actually thought that that cheeky behind - the - back punch Canelo did on Golovkin was pretty amusing, it did no damage, after all. And GGG made him pay for it the next round.

But when a can faces a top fighter is what's obviously a gimme fight, and the top guy rubs his superiority in with flagrant showboating, that's when I wish the can would sock him a good one in the nuts.

Yep, already edited that... it was JoJo instead of Dubois.

It can be good when used against a closely matched opponent to demoralize them and get in their head, but if a fighter is doing it against a completely outclassed opponent and they are already dominating them, nah, dont like it one bit.

No problem with it at all. As long as they're not running away while doing it, can't catch me style

Fury's arms behind back move is quite impressive and serves a purpose to confuse his opponent.

That being said, it is still an obvious sign of contempt. Has a fighter ever been penalized for "excessive showboating"?

Broner humping Maidana only to get it in the poop chute was the best ever.

That was too funny. I couldn't stop laughing. Ward being the clown and Kovalev being the calculated Russian killer.

RJJ keeping his hands behind his back...

Ray Leonard bolo punching vs Duran...

Hamed jumping around like an idiot..

I don't like showboating but at least you can punch back if you don't like. Trash talking
is ridiculous, IMO. This guy Saunders is the worst. Makes you want to see him get KTFO.
