If this really is the dog-fight they promised in the presser, with both standing in the pocket slinging body shots like there's no tomorrow, I think somebody's going to have to cave eventually, somebody's organs will turn into mush and somebody will get the KO by sheer attrition.

I have doubts, however - given the mutual respect they showed each other, and the fact that Spence has the option that he can beat Peterson on the outside without risking being in the challenger's wheelhouse - that we are indeed getting that dog-fight.

Peterson was not caught cold, he was knocked out after he was warmed up and that was when Matthysse was 140 lbs., Spence should fight somone legit, such as Porter of Thurman..............Matthysse knocked him out in the 3rd round!!!

 

It was always going to be tough for Lamont to get out of the middle rounds of this one, because there was no forseeable sanctuary for him in a ring with Spence. He's a middling outfighter, and his speciality is an area in which Spence excels and carries bigger guns.
