:confused:Please explain how they are alike and why you think they are divas, I have a bit of an issue with Mcgregor holding the belt if he isn't going to fight but I wouldn't call either of them a diva and there is far more deserving that name then these 2 LOL?I've never really been a fan of Bisping at all but respect the fact that he has fought almost everbody and most of his early losses which stopped him getting titles shot during his prime where against drug cheats.

Easy, both refused to fight their number 2 contender as champion.

McGregor wouldn't face Khabib nor Ferguson. Bisping wouldn't face Romero nor Jacare.

Look at the other champs out there

    Miocic is fighting N'Gannou
    Cormier fought Jones
    Woodley fought Wonderboy
    Holloway fought Aldo
    Garbrandt fought Dillashaw
Johnson fought everyone in the top 5.

McGregor and Bisping are literally the only men who wouldn't fight their number 1 contender whilst champ. That's why I was relieved when Bisping lost to GSP and that's why I'll be relieved when Khabib vs Ferguson crowns a new champ.

I think there is more deserving fighters of the divas mantle then those 2 although I guess Conor in being the top draw in the sport may fit in to the category due to his new financial demands but has to be respected on what he has been able to do for himself and the company. The small bit of leniency he has been given by the UFC in the time since he beat Alvarez for the title is understandable considering what he has done and can do being the top draw in combat sports. Fergerson is the only person who has been hard done by with what he has done in staying active, Khabib may be a bigger threat to Conor but behind Fergerson in deserving the title shot against Conor. I'm hope Tony beats Khabib but I think Khabib may be to strong if the fight ever happens.

Dominic Cruz was somehow able to keep his belt without defending it because of injuries for almost 3 years after achieving far less then Conor, who apart from last year on average has fought more times a year then the most UFC fighters. I think the UFC should just bring in a overall rule giving any champ a year maybe 18 months maximum to defend or have to vacate the title.

As for Bisping I think the small bit of leniency he was given was also valid considering what he had also done for the company over a long period in which he fought basically every top middleweight from the last 10 years or so. At the end of the day they are both trying to get the best deals they can and deserve as any fighter especially does especially the top level. I think both of these guys work over the long term and there willingness to fight anybody speaks for itself and they deserve any benefit of the doubt when it comes to wether they are ducking anybody.

Dana White today said Conor still has the title which may mean Conor will have told UFC he will be fighting before September and we have the stupid situation of 2 champions

I'm not into this leniency at all.

Bisping was afforded leniency by fighting Henderson in a rematch against an unranked opponent, the next fight should have been legit.

Connor, of he fights Ferguson or Khabib I'll hold my hands up, but I expect it won't happen.

Sure I understand you didn't approve of the 2 choices of hall of fame fighters GSP and Henderson getting title shots because there was higher ranked fighters more deserving. There have been plenty of worse choices of people getting shots coming off losses in the past.

If Bisping and McGregor are divas for trying to get the best deal they can then there's a lot of divas out there.

I'm not sure I can get on board GSP not being legit either, isn't he number 1 on your P4P list? I Can't stand Bisping but it's been a while since he or McGregor have fought against anybody that wasn't legit. The fight I want to see is McGregor vs Holloway hopefully after he fights Fergerson.

Yes but almost always if there's a nonsense title defence, it's followed up by a legit title defence. These two have no such defences to their names during their championship stint.

Yeah he is but he is also 4 years retired from a lower division.

If McGregor fights Ferguson then Holloway I'd be over the moon.

More likely is he fights Diaz, Malignaggi and Pacquiao.

I agree in general with what you are saying because I don't want the UFC to end up with a situation boxing suffers with it common for people outside the top 10 getting title shots. I just think the situations are little different then normal with Mcgregor doing something that hadn't been done before which has benefited the sport as well as himself.

In Bispings situation a few months after beating ATG Anderson Silva in a tough fight he steps up on 2 weeks notice to beat Rockhold for the belt. Sure there were higher ranked opponents but it set up arguably the biggest fight in terms of views to be made for Bisping in the Henderson rematch headlining big England PPV. If it wasn't for the fact GSP coming back was the biggest fight to be made,Romero or Whitaker would have fought Bisping in front of probably half as many viewers.Bisping only held the belt for 17 months and GSP didn't hold the belt long after so I don't think there was much damage at all, in fact I would argue it created memories that will last like Hendo in a epic farewell fight and GSP fairytale comeback win.

Whatever the excuses we've had to have inter champions due to inactivity and poor defences.

I'm glad neither are champ any more.
