Don't be silly. Boxing is a business. Oscar wouldn't have put Canelo in with a guy like Jacobs had he have found himself in Billy's current position. He's already waited GG out once, and he's now doing the same thing with the rematch. He'll use delay tactics for as long as he possibly can.
It's called having a major promoter behind you willing to spend money Isal. Canelo got the star treatment almost immediately showing up on cable. Think he'd get a title shot at 154 facing a WW in Matthew Hatton if he didn't have GBP behind him? Your problem is, you've always worshipped fighters who don't have to toil away with contender after contender after contender just to get a title shot. You jumped on the DLH bandwagon when you were what...12? And surprise surprise, you put all your eggs in canelo's basket. You're about as casual as it gets...
Nothing more than a tune-up fight whilst he waits to try and get GGG or Canelo...... Neither BJS or Jacobs would want to fight each other, as the risk is greater than the reward.... But i have a feeling they may just have to.
Good post, but I think Jacobs would definitely take the fight. Because I think he'd have everything to gain, with nothing much to lose. Because I honestly don't think GG will be in a rush to give him a rematch, and I don't think Oscar would be too willing to put Canelo in with him. Not without a belt. But if Jacobs beat Billy and obtained the WBO belt, that could well swing things more in his favour, with added pressure from the fans and the media to take the fight. But looking purely from Billy's perspective, I think it would be absolutely foolish to even consider a fight like that at this stage. A very dangerous and unecessary risk. Both fighters have very different circumstances surrounding them.
That may be the case, but we really don't know. I would say as far as accomplishments Lee and Lemieux or on par with each other and Eubank is trailing behind.
We've all got our own opinions. After watching all 3 of them fight, I know for sure. In my opinion, Lemieux isn't more accomplished. It doesn't matter to me that he held a major title. You have to put things into context.
Yeah props for being active but i think there was better opposition for him. This result is practically a foregone conclusion.
meh.... Ill pass. Probably wont even tune in to the rbr. Pretty anti climatic matchup, imo. Was hoping BJS would take advantage of his Lemieux momentum.
BJS staying active. 3rd fight in 7 months. But Murray is getting completely outclassed. Dude lost to Rosado. Wont do **** vs Saunders.
