Coming in at 260 is a bad look for Kownacki when you consider he weighed 242 in his last fight against Szpilka. Given that he's in there with a former Cruiserweight who will doubtless look to rely on mobility, Kownacki probably could've done with weighing in at, or around, the 245 mark. Perhaps Kownacki's thinking is that Kiladze poses no threat to him, and he can just walk Kiladze down and get him out of there. Despite Kownacki's extra poundage for this fight I tend to agree, and think Kownacki can do the business regardless in 4 or 5 rounds -- especially when you consider that in Kiladze's only other big step up in class, against Kalenga at Cruiser, he was stopped in the second round. And given that Fortuna only moved up to Lightweight in 2016 and has been fairly active since then, I can only assume his failure to make weight is either tactical, or just down to laziness on Fortuna's part in the buildup to his title shot against Easter Jr.
