This is true to a point...at the end of the day the buck does stop with eddie and to a lesser degree brooks manager, whom im assuming is ingles. Eddie has the final say in who he puts on his shows. If eddie didnt want kell to fight ggg, then it would never of happened. As has been mentioned, most fighters will fight anyone. A lot of the time they need protection from themselves.
How much different would the spence fight of been without the ggg fight. I think most of us would pick kell to beat spence without the ggg episode

my personal opinion of brook fighting ggg is he got jealous of khan fighting canelo and getting a lot of praise for it - even though he didn't win.
kind of wanted to emulate what khan did, which backfired.

Brook taking on ggg at 160
Is greater than khan going in with canelhoe @ 155 with it wrote in contract hoe cannot exceed 155
Brooks back to back fights greater than khans
And brooks win for a world title is also greater than khans
Khan wanted kell to leave matchroom so he could be Eddies boy
    Ah bless

And that fight that is always there as lost lots and lots of value and hype I for won won't buy and I have bought all brooks ppvs

There’s no doubting he’d had enough in round 6. He was well out of his depth. That Spence hits like a mule.

Bottom line ~brook always has a been a hype job. He got found out when stepping up to elite. He took the ggg fight because it was very good money and a win win in his mind. If he'd of boxed Spence first the result is the same. And at welter there are around 5 fights that he/his team avoided like the plague even when brook was in his supposed prime. He ain't good enough at proper elite level where he at times you are required to dig deep (whether through stupidity or just plain good old fashioned heart) and before anyone starts I'm not asking anyone to kill themselves in there(different argument altogether). Brook isn't good enough. He has and always will be deluded like the majority of his fans. Only novelty fights left for him now ie Khan. And he'd be a fool not to take it. But i put it out there that khan was avoided a few years ago by brook because his speed is dangerous. Never been a fan of either but at least khan goes out clean on his shield. I repeat again. Brook is and has never been as good as he or his deluded fans think. His management knew all along tho. Hence the 30 odd average Joe's on his record

But went further than Lamont the guy who bullied Khan all night long and got the win over a prime khan
And was beating Spence on the cards
    Ummmmm
Tell me about this fight that is always there and the out come of said fight

I think khan was asking him to face decent people so he could be tested - and when he did he got found out.
I know people will say its 1 of khans excuses to not fight him, but lets be fair brook was a protected fighter a bit and was fighting bums - albeit some of these was ibf mandatories

I don't think you can accuse brook of ducking, to fight GGG at MW regardless of money is brave and for me Spence is the real deal, I was there and the man is immense, if he had fought one of the other 3/4 he would have just been accused of ducking spence ... I think brook like any fighter has achieved what he wanted in boxing (world champion) and now understandably wants to set himself up for life with a few cash out fights, titles don't matter at his stage he wants the big fight

Khan asked him to beat Porter and become a world champion. The excuses Khan made are numerous.
