In case you're looking for a name to google ... it's Samantha Kumiko ... and unlike Kownacki, she's definitely in shape.

(I just saw the post above ... already has her name + a youtube link)

It's not so much what Kownacki looks like, it's that he's about 20lbs heavier than he was for his last fight.

As I expected Kiladze's lack of durability cost him in the end. Was surprised to see him gas so soon though I guess having the flu effected him but he was being forced to fight at a pace he clearly wasn't comfortable at.

As for Kownacki his lack of defence will eventually cost him. He was lucky Kiladze's lacked power, he was getting picked apart in he exchanges in those early rounds. Also why he clearly set a good pace and exhausted Kiladze to me he looked to be a bit tired himself, he threw some listless looking punches he couldn't of kept that pace up for much longer. He needs to sort out his defence and lose some weight.

He has the talent, so I give him pass on his weight. There are many like him who has the talent but doesn't have the look but that means nothing because talent is the most important thing.

Talent only gets you so far though, we've seen many undisciplined fighters come and fail in recent years. Solis, Arreola, Ruiz Jr, Chisora and Stiverne. A lack of conditioning has all cost these fighters at some point during their career, same will happen with Kownacki when he steps up.

Ruiz jr is exception as is Kownacky. They both fight their heart out. Ruiz jr won the title but the judges saw different fight.

"I don't care how good his hands are, Kownacki is a fat tub and 260lb is a disgrace."

The only disgrace here is people making comments like yourself.

Kownacki, the 'fat tub', fought at a pace which tired his 'in-shape' opponent after just 1 round.

Kownacki was only 4 pound heavier than Joshua.

he has some talent but wont go far if he cant be bothered. it might seem funny to him turning up in that condition and knocking cans over, but he is a 'professional athlete', you cant tell me that training and getting into some kind of shape is going to make him a worse fighter.

Had Ruiz Jr shown up in better shape he might of very well got the decision, so he is in no way an exception, as clearly his weight could of cost him the fight. Personally I thought Parker edged it. Will be interesting to see how the new lighter leaner, chemically enhanced Ruiz Jr does.

No fighter in the heavy division, shorter than 6ft 4 should rely on their toughess, and excessive body weight to suceed at the world level. Kownacki will go the exact way as fighters like Stiverne, Arreola, and Peter. You can make the case for big baby Jarrel Miller. But he carries alot of muscle, and most of it is sacroplasmic, which is mainly endurance mass.

No......But if you don't need to turn up in 'some kind of shape' to get the W, why waste your time?

If he can beat, as you put it, 'cans' in this kind of shape, he's better off staying in this shape and working on skills instead of wasting time getting into shape.

Miller carries his weight well, but he is carrying a lot of body fat too, he's just one of the lucky one where it's evenly distributed all around his body rather than around his midsection like most people. He's probably at 25% body fat at least.

As for sarcoplasmic muscle being for endurance, get out of here, we don't see massively muscled marathon runners. Don't believe that old myth in regards to being able to train for sarcoplasmic or myofibrillar hypertrophy, it's bull****.

Yeah, but he's carrying at least 30lb of lard. Maybe 40lb.
