I get your frustrations but you we all have to put a certain number on what you will sell your health for
And it seems very high as wealth can't buy health
A fair few fighters will experience
They won't be the first to cheat fans nor the last
May Mac not that I took any notice was the epitome of robbing fans that fight hurt boxing and current and future fighters

Everyone who are complaining about a boxer quitting obviously has never boxed. These guys enter the ring putting their lives on the line and at elite level it is at its most dangerous. If a boxer feels he is not going to win or is very hurt then what right do we have to tell them to carry on taking punishment.
Getting the subject back to Brook, I think he is a great boxer but unfortunately got beaten by the best welterweight in the world. There is no shame in that and if getting his confidence back and being injury free then can make waves in the 154 lb division.

He got bashed up for seven rounds in which Spence still had more gears to go through. He didn’t have a punchers chance, he’s never been a big puncher. He’d have ended up sounding like Terry Flanagan if he’d have carried on.

Peterson is not a puncher at all. He landed a flush right bang on the chin at the end of round 4 with no effect on Spence and then immediately Spence landed two massive lefts which backed up Peterson. Peterson didn't have a puncher's chance at all and his eyes were swelling badly. As Haye would say it was more one sided than a gangbang. No point watching that continue.

Mate I'm not arsed how khan peterson went blah blah blah. I'm just saying that brook was never an elite welter. End of story. Just not good enough coupled with an ingrained bully mentality.

He is on more gear than you !! he could easily have made the final bell...

Kell Brook got slaughtered for being pulled out with a broken face yet this fella gets a pass for being pulled out with a shiner??...i dont get it

why not stop all fights then if one boxer is 5-6 rounds behind on points?...

My bar has never moved mate. Ive always said brook has been pampered. You only have to look at the welters he hasn't boxed and you have your answer (and some of them aren't elite just tough n dangerous. I appreciate the fact that you are a blind brook fan boy that would've noshed him off instead of stabbing him in the leg but facts are facts. Check his record pal

Checked it and I see GGG and Spence on there back to back
Hell he as two canelhoe opponents on his record before hoe him self my little spunk bubble
Now you can feel fee to go stab who ever you like in the leg , are or where ever and with what ever you like to stab men with
    And that bar
GGG at 160 or hoe at 155
Garcia at 140 or Spence at 147

    Which of theses are greater
Now you're shytting all over one now feel free to bring that back to others
You're thoughts on dragging lightweights up for convience

I’m sure Gutknecht and Blackwell would have been all for it in hindsight. Sometimes it seems that only in a fight does one boxer realise that he’s hopelessly out of his depth...should he risk permanent damage for the sake of pride and pleasing a baying audience?

Brook beat Porter in 2014 and looked completely boiled down to 147. Yes he's an elite athlete and trains like an animal, but he still didn't want to be doing that many more times. He should have fought 2 more fights at 147, 3 at most, before moving to 154, and he definitely shouldn't have been going into 2016 fighting at 147.

Instead he basically had 2 years which did absolutely nothing for his career, then in late 2016 he threw on muscle to go to 160, and then 2017 to top it all off decides to strip the muscle and somehow get back to down 147.

Even if the opponents weren't GGG and Spence these were moronic things to do. But when you consider he did it to fight the most punishing middleweight in the world, and what's looking like the next best thing at 147, then it's a surefire way to throw your considerable talent and potential out of the window.

I rated Michael Jennings a fellow cotto opponent
    As you say porter

    So
    Spence
    GGG
    Porter
    Jennings
    Hatton

    That's 3 world class
    And two world title challengers
    Not half bad
