The way people talk about Foreman it's hard to see how he lost to Jimmy Young and got nearly ko'd by Lyle.
Fraizier put Ali on Q street in the 11th, and put him down in the 15th;.. plus the Rock uses 2 punch combos with big power each, whereas Joe relies on his one punch left hook. (See the left hook Rock just missed on Walcott as JoeW went down and out in Fight One courtesy of a right hand).
"Nearly" the word nearly matters **** in boxing... The only important thing is the facts... Foreman won by ko.. Period. You are nothing but a troll with to many free time
Walcott and Moore were 38 when they fought Marciano so under 40 by my count. Wladimir looked pretty good blasting out Pulev at age 38. I think many would argue he was still close to his best despite being 38. Vitali also looked good at age 37 when he came out of retirement and dominated Samuel Peter.
Quarry was 1.5" taller 15lbs heavier and had 4 inches more reach than Marciano. He was also a better boxer , imo.
I think that Marciano still has the second highest KO% of any lineal champion, so I doubt Frazier can do much better vs the same opposition. Besides, there is always going to be some fight that goes awry for Frazier. Nobody looks good against everybody.
Thanks for all the replies you guys, lots of interesting ideas in this thread I figured due to Frazier and Marciano's similar size(excluding the weight and reach difference) and style that the results of the two swapping eras would be an interesting topic to discuss
Interesting post.I think Rocky beats all apart from Forman and possibly Ali he would give ali a very torrid time though.Joe against Rocks opponents I see joe having a hard time with Charles .Izzard KOed big guy's during his career he had blazing speed and hit hard and was a brilliant boxer .Charles at 180 pnds would be a dangerous for Frazier.
Frazier could go undefeated but he could be troubled by Walcott, Charles and Moore like Marciano was. Marciano could indeed beat all of the opponents Frazier defended the title against, maybe with the exception of George Foreman.
I think Moore's punching power translated better to heavyweight and Moore was more powerfully built than Foster.
