Would George Foreman have had a realistic chance vs Lewis circa 1998

Say Foreman had beaten Briggs and he got to fight Lennox Lewis. Could George Foreman had pulled off one more great win or would this have been a sad ending for him?

I say no cause Lewis really hit hard and George was on fumes at that point. But Lewis had shaky chin so George would always have that 10 percent punchers chance.

    Sad ending I fear.

In Lewis he would finally have met the man to send him sprawling through the ropes, as Rocky Marciano did to Joe Louis.

This would be where the fairy tale ended.

Punchers always have a chance but Lewis wrecks the old man by that time....Foreman was at the end

Look I think prime on prime foreman was the better fighter and it would be competive although foreman has a stylistic disadvantage against a agile technician the likes of lennox he could always land either huge hand on lennoxs bad chin and k.o. him, but foreman was mostly gone at this point and Lennox is would likely win a u.d.

No and if Foreman would have gotten the decision against Briggs. He still would have sidestepped Lewis for somebody else.

98' Foreman is out of his depth athetically. He'd noticeably slowed from his already noticeably slow pace of 92'. The 92' Foreman i'd still favor Lewis heavily. Prime Foreman I would favor though.

No , no way in this time frame .Foreman would be hit hard and battered .George would be a swollen faced lumbering wreck by the 7th rd .

George was smart. Not just 1998 but For the entirety of Foremans comeback he knew he would not be remotely competitive against the kind of fighter Lewis was. This is absolutely why he targeted smaller opponents.

1970s George would beat Lewis 6 times out of 10 though.

Young Foreman would destroy that glass chin 9 times out of 10. 40 year old Foreman stand a punchers chance. At freaking 46 Foremans stamina and speed have declined so much that Lewis beats him 10/10. No 45 year old fighter in the history of boxing can beat Lewis lol.

I doubt it very much. Even on one of Lewis' "suck nights" he should have enough to get the win.

Agreeing with the majority here. I favor prime Foreman over Lewis (but then, I would pick prime George to beat almost, but not quite, anyone). But not the older Foreman.

Can't imagine prime Lewis losing to 50 y.o. man, even if it's Big George
