The only reason Errol Spence beat Brook is because of Golovkin

Brook was winning on my card until his eye went

Golovkin physically and mentally damaged brook as soon as brook ****ed his other eye (Golovkin weakened his whole face with the impact of the left hook) The fight changed brook started having flash backs and he heard voices of his doctor saying if he stayed any longer against golovkin he would of gone blind........ even after that he came back good despite not being able to see in round 10

Brook pre golovkin would of beat Spence easy

 

A ****in' fart, a ham sandwich, or stubbed toe might have just as much impact as 3G did Brooksey. Yer ****in' nuts.

 

Spence has power to defeat heavyweights.

 

Yeah, and the only reason Golovkin beat Jacobs is because of cancer...

 

Hard to say for sure,I think we can all agree that him facing Golovkin was career suicide as I think Brook and his team were thinking he’s never been hurt before and a loss to GGG wouldn’t be that bad as he’d still have his belt at Welterweight.
What they didn’t factor in which was obvious to all was that a beating off GGG is potentially career ending stuff.
Re his fight with Spence it was mighty close until he realised his other eye had gone as before.

 

But didnt spence take his eye? It wasnt the same one damaged from the GGG fight. Perhaps he should have used his "superior ability" to not allow spence to punch him in the face so much...

 

There wasn't a welter alive that could've stopped pre GGG Brook, seriously. He is as strong as ****. We will never know how Spence v prime Brook would've gone if Kell was 100%. I think he's finished now though. I hope his head isn't too screwed over how its panned out, because he looked and sounded terrible on that IFL clip not long back, like he probably shouldn't be fighting at the moment. Imo, a fantastic fighter ruined !

The title of the thread is incorrect and the last line about Brook pre-GGG would beat Spence easy is just plain rubbish. Nobody at welter beats Spence easy, in my opinion.

 

Brook also looked slower than ever before against Spence. I don't know why the GGG fight would of affected his speed, maybe going up two weight divisions and then back down had something to do with it, but he definitely looked slower.

 

Golovkin shattered his other eye yes but it also had effect on the other eye because of the amount of force kind of like how you break a glass and the other end is weakened

 

Why does anyone need to make excuses for someone? Even if that hypothesis about a whole face getting weakened were true, what would it matter? It's not what could have happened; it's what happened that counts. Men make choices. Whatever consequences arose were self-incurred.

 

That's not true. Brook was getting beat up. I'm a big fan of Kells but it ended up a beat down.

 

Brook put in a fine performance against Spence especially early on but Spence is just relentless. You can also see that from the Peterson fight. Nothing fancy but great work rate, good switching between head and body, heavy hands and good chin.

A pre-GGG Brook may have done better, we will never know, but I doubt it.
