That's an amazing quandary isn't it? No matter who you put first, you feel like you're committing sacrilege. No matter who you put third, you feel like you're committing sacrilege. I'm not even gonna touch it.

And now I look at it, I feel it should be Roy, Floyd, Manny. But eight years ago I thought Manny was the best boxer since Duran, so did he just fight too long? In which case, do I put him ahead of the other two? Like you said. Daaaaaaaaamn.

Pedro Diaz had coached Cotto all wrong. Roach just brought back the body kill and the conditioning. Plus Cotto is a converted southpaw, hence the power. And Delvin was handpicked for that fight. Older Cotto didn’t knock down anyone that hadn’t been knocked down before.

Cotto is cien por ciento boriqua and cien por ciento clean!

Floyd and Wlad are locks. I think Cotto edges Ward in the balance between fame and accomplishment even though Ward will be remembered as better & greater. He also rose to fame a few years earlier than Ward did. Ioka is too comparatively uncelebrated.

    Nope.
It should be Manny Roy Floyd lol.
Manny arguably achieved more and more popular world wide.
Rag to riches, lack of literacy to a seat in the senate, 8 division champ, fighter of the decade, making album and movies ha3x.
It's the hall of fame remember, not hall of skill:)

    Fascinating.

Ward returns at CW, delaying his own induction eligibility...leaving us with a class of Mayweather/Toney/Klitschko? (Cotto frozen out, since the only way he was getting off the bubble was by elbowing past Ward?)

Ward relies a lot on technical ability as well as physicality.
He is not fast, athletic or slick in the traditional sense.
I don't see him being that successful above light heavy.

Well regardless of whether he succeeds at CW or flops onto his face and lets his zero (and however much that factors into his legacy) slip from his grasp, what he accomplishes with a return is kicking his can down the road a ways and extricating himself from the mess in 2023 (perhaps avoiding the dreaded bubble, should Toney indeed not lace up officially again - since one has to presume Toney would take precedence over both Ward & Cotto)...but possibly lining himself up with some further conflicts down the road if his first eligibility year happens to line up with Pacquiao and two or more near-equals in greatness..
