I really think Hagler takes it, but does Hagler have the power to break down the granite of Lamotta's chin?

    I don't know..

In a 15 round fight, would probably take Hagler by UD

Hagler stomps LaMotta into a greasy spot. Wide UD or late TKO.

Prime Hagler points, the Hagler that fought Leonard and Mugabi might drop a decision to Lamota

Jake was a beast and a great boxer with an incredible work rate, not the iron-chinned can the movie makes him out to be. Anyone who gave Ray Robinson his first loss, and fought 5 more competitive fights with him, including two controversial decisions, could give Marvin Hagler all he could handle.

Some of you guys need to stop watching that BS movie, or just the last round of Robinson-LaMotta VI, and look at his career.

LaMotta was already slipping in 1949 so Id favor Hagler. At his best LaMotta wouldnt do any worse than Antuofermo or Duran who both gave Hagler problems. A win is not out of the question.

Agreed . Hagler made the mistake of letting Antuofermo rallying late and was cautious
against Duran. This could be big mistake against Jake who would be relentless for 15
rds as he showed in his incredible late final rd ko against Frenchman Laurent Dauthuille.

No one is getting knocked out but I think Hagler would have a little bit too much for LaMotta and would outbox him. Close enough but still clear decision for Marvelous.

LaMotta on his best night can beat Hagler on his best night, his educated swarming and durability is a hard proposition for any middleweight. I do believe Hagler takes two wins in a trilogy, he was just a much more consistent performer.

This is getting silly now. Hagler, on his best night, would beat the living crap out of Jake on his best night. Jake would likely hear the bell ring, but to act this would be a close fight is off imo. He'd be facing somebody that is levels above him as a boxer, with just as good of a chin and just as much power. Most of the attribute columns are clearly in Marvin's favor here....

    Hagler, comfortable UD
