The only way for tyson beating evander would be facing 88 tyson vs cruiser or 99 evander. Hoyfield had his number
They all were. Come on man. The "bite fight" looked like a Mr Olympia contest. If Holyfield injures his shoulder early or has his stamina issues or whatever then tyson takes him. But as long as Evander manages to roll the single and predictable bombs that post prison tyson was launching and counter and push back the squared up tyson once his single bomb is absorbed or deflected, holyfield breaks tyson down. In order fpr tyson to beat him, he needs his pre prison will, conditioning, footwork and different combinations and unpredictable punching angles and holyfield also needs to be either injured or sick(moorer 1 and bowe 3) or smaller and overconfident/brawl happy(cooper, bowe 1) But as long as holyfield has the size and toughness plus the skill and experience to either absorb or deflect post prison tysons predictable bombs, he wins most of the time. Tyson cant take Evander out with 1 shot. It needs to be a barrage like with pinklon thomas or a decision win(which is very much possible pre prison)
This version of Evander is losing to Tyson, he lost to Moorer for crying out loud, there are many fighters who could take the title from him on this night. Whatever the reason, shoulder or HGH heart issues or just a lazy effort, Evander was very beatable.
If he couldn't stop Moorer then how was he gonna stop Tyson? Tyson had a far better chin than Moorer.
That version of holy field looked shot ,getting tagged by moorer time after time . The Tyson of 86 to 88 time frame would stop him before the seventh , this version of Tyson maybe a little longer .But I do have to say , if holy field had faced Tyson in this particular match up he'd have put on a better performance .I believe he took moorerlightly in 94 ,and added to his health problems , never got in to the fight as much as he could have . He wouldn't take Tyson lightly , so would put in a better effort.
I think moorer 1 holyfield 94 beats 96 Tyson . 96 Tyson had lost a massive amount of stamina and footspeed .
Foreman had By far better chin than norton and ali could not stop norton however he stopped foreman... Styles kid styles
Tyson vs Holyfield pre prison will always forever remain a mystery to me. I mean, there are clues that Tyson might have beaten Holyfield at that time. For example, Holyfield's struggle with Bert Cooper or Michael Dokes. It leaves me wondering could he have taken Tyson circa 1991? On the other hand, there were many clues that Tyson would beat Holyfield in 1996 and we see how that turned out. In 1988, many were predicting this titanic clash of styles between Michael Spinks and Mike Tyson and it lasted 91 seconds. In 1996, many were predicting Tyson to bulldoze Holyfield and the wrong guy got bulldozed. What should've happened (on paper anyway) is Michael Spinks pulling what Holyfield did and Holyfield lasting 91 seconds into the first round with Tyson. The most I can say is I don't know if Tyson, 1988 or 1991 would've beaten Evander Holyfield. I mean, it's very possible but this is a fight where anything could happen.
