Just watched the fight after seeing the result accidentally on the Facebook feed. 2 wonderful operators. The adjustments made by both over 12 were fantastic. Usyk jab was a snake. Briedis throwing underhands after usyks jab was class. Then for usyk to again adjust and go overhand after his lead. Quality. I thought Usyk won 115-113. Clearly. He gave briedis the first 2 at least. The footwork and moevemeg from both was on point. But my I wouldn't want to be a judge for that as I couldn't argue with a draw. It was boxing at its finest.

Agreed. Wonderful fight between two undefeated champions with a great mix of skills, heart and tactical nous on display. You can't ask for much more than that.

Not a draw, more like 8 rounds to 4, but could have been 115 - 113..........................

Some clown called Low place on YT said the fight was like "Two 12 year olds having a slap fight'. The same guy has Adonis #1 P4P! This Hatman YT goof also gave Bredis 10 rounds.

I’m sure he will. Hope he’ll fight the loser of Dorticos-Gassiev.

I'm really pleased for Briedis that he was able to put in such a good performance. He's a gentleman and a very talented fighter and I thought he fought a great fight and he did himself and his country proud.

Remember what Chef (a member of Team Klitschko) had to say about him

    James Ali Bashir on Briedis

Said Briedis sparred Wlad numerous times and was never hurt by him, which he says is very rare for anyone who has sparred more than 30 rounds with Wlad

it woukd be a good draw to have the two beaten semi finalist as the chief undercard of the final.
I had usyk by 3 rounds in a great fight

Hatman is usually spot on, but yeah him having Briedis up 118-111 is crazy.

Appreciate the wonderful event that took place last and take the negative irrational comments with a grain of salt. The Tubers opinions are inconsequential in the grand scheme of things so ignore it and don’t empower it by even making mention of it.

Congrats to Usyk and Briedis, I hope Usyk remains at CW and doesn’t decide to jump to HW. He can win some good fights but the overall physical setbacks he will experience at HW will misrepresent his quality.

I quite agree with you, blancrabello! Truly fun to watch yesterday's fight between Usyk and Briedis. I also had Usyk ahead on points but it has surely been Usyk toughest fight at the pros so far.
Briedis is a classy operator who made the water hot for the Ukranian national hero.
To be honest I had expected a very tactical fight between them,a boring one with lmited action inside the ring.I was totally wrong, fortunately.
I think yesterday's encounter between them was the true final of his tournament,a fight between the best and the second best at cruiser weight.
Neither Dorticos nor Gassiev would win against Briedis IMO. I guess Gassiev will probably beat Dorticos by either ko or point victory and finally lose a one-side point victory to Usyk.
Dorticos is a decent fighter but his fight record is still poor compared with Bridies' and Usyk's one.His best scalps are Kalenga and Kudryashev.Sure, beat the Russian hammer quite impressively, but so did that Nigerian who was out of his league when fighting Bridies.
At least Gassiev has beaten someone like Lebedev.................at least on paper. To be honest it could have gone either way as it was an extremely close fight, closer than Usyk vs Briedies IMO.
Nevertheless,Lebedev, the old russian warrior is past his prime and running out of time whereas Usyk is in his prime. Cant really imagine that Gassiev wins a point victory over Usyk.Sure, a lucky punch is always possible but Usyk should win that fight in an easier way than he did against Bridies.
I very much hope to see Bridies inside a ring quite soon again.
A fight with Glowaki would be really great IMO.
By the way come to think of it...................quite funny that Bridies scored a brutal ko over one the reigning heavy weight champs a few months ago.
Damn it! Come to think of it both Bridies and Usyk beat 99% of today's big boys quite easily.Apart from Joshua I cant really see anyone at heavy who can be favoured over Usyk .

Usyk's biggest worries at HW will be A side politics, partisan bigotry and weaponized drug testing, not his boxing ability.
