Don't put Wilder & Usyk in the same sentence. One is a unified champion with just over a dozen fights fighting prime beasts & travelling the world to do so. The other has over 30 fights consisting entirely of pumpkins, pregnant men & old timers! He's also been dropped & rocked badly by beached whales & part time Mexican pimp's. He has the technique of an out of control octopus whereas Usyk moves like a MW!
Usyk beats Parker and Wilder - Povetkin and Joshua would be significant favorites but he definitely has a shot against them.
normally i would say wait till hes moved to HW, but hes really already there, cw being a subset of HW. Hes shown enough to assume he gives wildman and parker double trouble.
So Usyk has a chance against the Elite Heavyweights because Breidis beat Charr? Not sure how that works out.... But if you believe Usyk beats Joshua/Wilder/Parker, then you must also believe that Breidis would do the same. As Breidis showed he's the same level as Usyk.
Wilder struggled with glass jawed blown up CW Szpilka. Parker struggled with obese CW Ruiz Jr. and small HW Takam - also H. Fury who has no power and is less technical than Usyk - less physical than him for sure. So to answer your loaded question. Yes. I'd make both favorites over Wilder and Parker.
Wilder's career would have been over before it started had he not fought the biggest line of tomato cans this world has ever seen. Usyk would make Wilder look stupid. Actually Deonkey's done a pretty decent job of that himself but still... When you're getting outboxed and behind on the cards vs guys like Szpilka and Washington....
Exactly, never easy as a few on here appear to be making it out to be, i am all for Usyk doing well at heavy, would be exciting!!
Refresh my memory as to how the Vitali/Byrd rematch went again. If I'm not mistaken, power had nothing to do with the outcome of that fight.
