Tua takes Tommy out after Tommy starts fast. Tua had a excellent chin Tommy didn't. So Tommy would have to win by decision and I think at some point he gets caught and finished
Terrible fight for Tommy. Tua was a bigger punching version of Ray Mercer, and every second of the fight would be hazardous for the Duke. Morrison could bang himself but hitting Tua was like hitting an oak door. I think Tommy boxes well for 5 rounds or so before Tua does the inevitable and finishes him.
Morrison at his most brilliant might be able to take Tua late while being slightly ahead on the cards before being stopped ala Maskaev, Izon and others. On bad night he gets blasted out inside 3 rounds.
I got Tua by KO here in the mid rounds. The Tuaman will weather the storm and blast Morrison out when he catches him.
Tua had the chin to take Morrison's punch but not vice versa,it might be like the Mercer fight,at any rate it isn't going past the half way mark and ends with Tommy on the deck!
This is it. P.S. I wonder what happens if Morrison takes the Foreman bout route? Jeez i'm a poet and don't even know it! I just seem to rhyme everytime
Tua should be a clear favorite for obvious reasons, but what if Morrison applies the same strategy like he did vs Foreman? Does he has the chance for an UD win? Yes, Foreman was slower, but he had size and reach ...
Tua would be on him and land something significant before too long then it would be time for Tommy's bed.
Morrison could last quite a few rounds and be ahead on the cards by sticking and moving like Rahman did. He probably gets caught at some point. Morrison stamina was suspect also
Tua was too inconsistent. He'd get outboxed by Morrison. It really comes down to if you think Tua would catch Morrison late. I don't.
Did Tua ever take a shot as hard as Morrison's? In what fight? I'd lean toward Tua could take a few hard shots from Morrison, but with Tua, you have to ask, If Morrison dominates early will Tua take the road less likely for victory? Tua punked out vs. Chris Byrd of all people and backed off Lennox Lewis allowing him to coast. Tua was also losing and being outboxed by Maskaev ( Just Oleg's 11th pro fight ) , until Maskaev tired and Tua caught him late in the 11th round, down 3 rounds on a good scorecard. Similarly, he was down on points vs. Oquendo and caught him later in the 9th. But Tua did not respect either man's power. He would respect Morrison's If Morrison was in shape and fought Tua the way he did with Foreman, he could win here. I'd pick Tua, assuming he's not too heavy on the scales.
I'm pretty sure we're saying just about the same thing except you lean a little more towards Tua then I do.
