You are deluded if you believe that.Hearn has Inside Info as you'd expect him to,he knew Canelo-Golvokin would be on that date and has covered it off so he wont get the blame now from Warren or the fans for putting it on the same date.Very Clever and Shrewd Man

Hmm, I don't like the excessive Hearn bashing (unless it's about Stubhub, he can't be bashed enough for that), but you've got to be a bit naive to think it slipped Hearn's mind that he was putting Haye and Bellew on Cinco de Mayo. Y'know, that Mexican holiday Canelo always fights on...

So your saying Eddie should have not picked a free date just incase someone else wanted to fight on that night! That's ridiculous and not practical from a business point of view. If anyone should be getting slated it should be the management of GGG-Canello for picking the same date as Hearn.

It's not just 'someone else' though, is it. Hearn knew that it was very likely the biggest fight of the year would be 5th of May in the US. He also knew it would still be on 5th May regardless of what he did here in the UK. He then decided to put his fight on 5th May.

I'm not even saying it's right or wrong, just that Hearn knew exactly what he was doing.

Haye has already recovered from his injury. There was no need to reschedule the fight in May, could have easily been rescheduled a month or two earlier. It was smart competitive scheduling from Hearn. The Haye-Bellew 2 build up in the final week will be INSANE. It will totally overshadow the interest in GGG-Canelo 2 from a casual standpoint.

It would be ridiculous if Hearn didntd run May 5th due to a fight happening in America. GGG v Canelo in Vegas has no bearing on a fight in the UK.

It has a heavy bearing on the viewership for sure. After Haye-Bellew the casual fans (the main PPV target audience) will all either be out on the lash, watching Match of the Day or fast asleep in bed.

Don't see hate vs belles as a p4p, quite mediocre fight.

Yep Bellew is going to get the battering he needs.

Whether people like it or not, after all this talk the last few months about Bellew v Parker/AJ/Wilder/Fury.....once Haye destroyes Bellew he puts himself right back up there in contention, and AJ v Haye becomes a mega fight again.

Because GGG-Canelo 2 was only going to be that date or the September date. They're the only times Canelo bothers fighting

Yeah I was leaning towards it just being a good competitive move as well. I can understand Boxnation being a bit miffed that it puts the breaks on what will probably be their only chance to have a US PPV this year.

One thing is for sure - I can't wait for it.

Liverpool vs Chelsea, Haye vs Bellew, GGG vs Canelo and a bank holiday Monday to recover from the hangover!

It sums up us UK Lot when we choose Haye/Bellew a Joke fight which has no World Title or meaning to it,it is a Cruiserweight against a old past it Pumped up Heavyweight ,where they were kissing eachother at the end of the first fight and have no legit reason to hate eachother, they should love eachother in all honesty, they both secured eachother's families with their mouths. We choose that over Canelo/GGG two of the best boxers in boxing history and legit p4p and Elite Fighters with World Meaning to it.But screw it we're Britain we do things differently.Haye knocking out Bellew i would definitely prefer than a Vegas Rigged boxing match

Man this will test the mugs - one fight a huge proper 50/50 fight and the other one a non title money sucking fight to fleece the mugs.

Think I will save my money and watch both through my neighbour's window.

It is a World title eliminater in all but name, even if it hasn't been officially made so.

I’ll be watching both. I don’t care what Dave from Dorset who watches only the “big events” 3 times a year does to be honest.

And neither should any of you.
