You can't really blame Lennox for wanting to be British, with all the prestige that comes along with it.

When you fight for Britain your name becomes synonymous with:

    The Queen of England
    The British Empire
    Shakespeare
    Henry VIII
    Princess Diana
    Sir Winston Churchill
    The commonwealth
    The Industrial Revolution
    The invention of the computer
    The invention of the WWW
    The NHS
    Buckingham Palace
    Westminster Abbey
    St Paul's Cathedral
    Houses of Parliament
    House of Lords
    The home of modern democracy
    The invention of antibiotics
    Sir Isaac Newton
    Sir Charles Darwin
    The Beatles
The invention of football, boxing, tennis, snooker, darts, rugby, cricket, rugby, even baseball.. the list is endless
    Jeremy Corbyn
    Frank Bruno
    Bobby Charlton
    Bobby Moore
    James Bond
    The battle of Hastings
    The Magna Carta

The list is endless... this is what you are fighting for when you sign up to be British. What would he have been fighting for if he was Canadian? Celine Dion and some Moose?

I rate Lewis as the best h2h heavy ever, how can I be a hater ???I see loads of times lennox never gave 2 shites for the UK. Checkout his after fight speech ringside after Rachman 2..Also I don't care how many times you met him, you never knew him personally.

I drove through Bradford the other week. You could be forgiven for thinking you were anywhere but "True England"...

Oh but Ive spent many hours in his company. He loves England, Jamaica & Canada. As he said himself " As wprld champion I represent the world"
If he was going purely fot the $$$ he'd have gone to the US
Shows what type of guy he is he could be in the directors box watching his beloved West Ham but you'll find him on the terraces with the real fans

What, with zero affiliation with the US he would find it very hard..At least with the UK he was born there

His big fight after that was the rematch with Henry Tillman which he won, in Canada by decision. Unfortunately, boxing in Canada outside of Montreal was pretty much killed by De Witt and O'Sullivan, they were supposed to be saviors, but after Simon Brown and Cooper it was over.

Exactly LOL. I don't know why that's so hard for him to understand. It's like Bermane Stiverne fighting out of the US. LOL
