I don't think he does well at HW. But I think he can beat Schmeling and Loughran at LHW (Max was LHW in his early 20s).

Don't leave "Slapsie Maxie" off the Opponent List.

That fight might be a "Circus'.

That's the thing with Foster , a great lght heavy but he just couldn't bring that power up with him .But he did come up in to a solid, hard era .Facing Guy's like Ali and Frazier was hard enough for natural heavy s .In the 30 's?.Maybe slightly better luck against the heavy s then .If he caught Sharkey on his unpredictable days perhaps a win. Baer I believe would ko him some point .Schmeling v Foster could be interesting ,but ultimately Max wins.
Loughran against Bob at heavy , Foster by points .Not sure if carnera stops him but big guy gets a decision in a tepid fight .
Loughran and Max S against Foster at light heavy ?
I'll go with Bob both times .

I see Foster losing to Schmeling, Baer, and maybe Sharkey at heavy. He may just lose out to Carnera and just about beat Uzcudun. Really difficult query.

A circus it may very well be longhorn, sure Maxie would try his best to entertain .A wide point s loss im afraid Will be his reward IMO .

The problem is that he want just losing to the great heavyweights in the 70s, he was losing to the pretty good ones as well.

I think that he just wasn't cut out for the heavyweight division, and that we would have seen this in the 30s as well.

    Not very well,imo.
Both Max's likely stop him,he might decision Uzcudun and Sharkey ,but the odds would be on them imo.Loughran and Foster would possibly be a toss up. Carnera could probably lean all over Bob and drain him of his strength.

That's how I see a Foster carnera match going to. Primo just to big and heavy for Bob to do anything at all .

I read somewhere that Max was worse at LHW because he was losing too much weight in order to make weight. He started doing better when he moved up to heavy.

He would probably lose to all of them, he might have a chance with Loughran.

That's true. Some LHW's can do relatively well moving up while others can't. I personally think that Michael Spinks would've done better in an earlier era where the HW's were around 185 lbs, especially if Spinks bulked up to 200+ lbs. Foster moved up in an era where the HW's were 185 lbs.
