I'm worried about the many jabs that Gassiev ate today. A jab from a 250 lb man would be more dangerous to withstand. MG needs to get past Usyk, bulk up to 220, beat a couple decent Hw's before we all go predicting him beating Joshua.

Gassiev is way too raw and hittable to beat Joshua right now, but since he's only 24 he has a lot of time to develop. He also needs to work on placing his shots better, since he was missing a lot of shots against Dorticos, who stood in front of him all fight. He can't be that straight forward against Usyk and expect not to gas out.

I’m guessing this is a joke, gassiev I give a 30% chance to win but his slow feet and tendency to allow pressure would see AJ eventually break through and KO him but dorticos gets sparked out, has a dodgy defence, little punch variety and would play into AJ’s style by walking him down

I think CST enjoys trolling AJ supporters a little from time to time ;)

Gassiev has a decent chance of beating Joshua eventually, he's younger and will improve plus fill out his frame. He's arguably better than Joshua was at age 24, but on the other hand Joshua is clearly better than Dorticos in everything but chin (maybe), stamina (maybe) and speed.

Dorticos gets sparked out, I agree, he'll probably walk on to something big and get KO'ed. But even if not, when Joshua goes for the kill at some point mid/late Dorticos won't be able to hold him off, just like he couldn't hold Gassiev off and Wlad couldn't hold Joshua off. And then there's the fact that Dorticos is older and just took massive punishment over 12, will his chin still be iron?

At the moment if gassiev moves up I could only realistically imagine an AJ win but that could change soon

Wilder weighed 220 in his last bout. How is he too big for a CW?

No idea if Gassiev can beat Joshua. Briedis should definitely move up. the loser of the final should too (unless the winner does). the final four of the cw tourney would all easily be top ten at hw right now.

Would like to see him against the likes of Parker instead. Similar stature on him. Gassiev could weigh as much as 230 lbs and he would still look semi sharp, just like Parker at 240.

I like his chances against Joshua. joshua would tire out by trying to hurt Gasiev and that is when Gasiev will take over.

Gassiev definitely stands a better chance than all but a couple current hws.

It's weird how guys like Gassiev are considered too small, yet if you were to make this poll with a Joe Louis or Sonny Liston it'd be considered a fair and even matchup by a lot of people on here (going by the poll results).

Do you think weight is the only thing that makes someone big? How about the fact he is 6’7 with probably like 85 inch reach. He has the power to knock out men who are 240+ in weight?

Wilder weighted 207 lbs in his first pro fight and he also fought at heavyweight (cruiserweight) as 26 years of age (mature age) at the 2012 olympics.

I would say that Wilder indeed is a natural cruiser.
