    I pick Louis because he had one weapon Langford lacked and it was one he was also susceptible to ,a great left jab. This fight would be life and death for both men.imo.

    Sam was a great fighter & powerful puncher, he would make this interesting & because of his size he would be awkward enough to land some pretty good shots. Unfortunatley for him he would be in the ring against the greatest Power/combination puncher ever & Sam would have put pressure on Joe but Joe L had a excellent hard jab & follow up & this would take its toll on Sam. I see Louis by a stoppage before 15 depending on how much Sam decides to engage.

    Louis: 6' 2", 76" reach. Sam Lanford 5' 7-1/2". 74" reach.

    BUT,

    1910-03-17 : Sam Langford beat Fireman Jim Flynn by KO in round 8 of 45
    • Location: Jeffries' Arena, Vernon, California, USA
    • Referee: Charles Eyton
    • The KO came from a left-right combination to the head at 1:00 of round eight.
    • Flynn had agreed to avoid any rough-house tactics or face disqualification.
