No he wasn’t, not sure why you would bring a light middle into. Size becomes more important the higher up in weight you get, big punching 6’7 guys are gunna be very difficult to beat for anyone under 6’5. Especially someone like Usyk who doesn’t carry big power at CW.

I brought Williams up to highlight that height doesn't equal size either.

You mention Wilder and Joshua in the same sentence, as if their comparable height equals comparable size, but that isn't the case at all. Reality is that Wilder isn't a superheavyweight. He's a stretched out regular heavyweight, barely ten pounds heavier than a cruiserweight on fight night. Stylistically he poses problems due to his wild undisciplined style, but he is in no way too big for any cruiserweight to take down in the same way that Joshua would be.

He's also terrible at using his height and reach to keep fighters off him, and frequently falls for baits and feints due to his terrible ring iq. Szpilka had him flailing all over the place, and if a guy like that can outbox and close distance on Wilder then I really don't see why Usyk couldn't.

In fact I believe Usyk could take down Wilder tomorrow. That's a fight that's absolutely tailor made for him.

Gassiev starts too slow in my opinion and big power punching 240+ pounders would surely put him away early. By no means a complete write off though, very impressed by the highlights I saw of the fight today. Usyk has his hands full!

The likes of Whyte, Chisora etc would be a great way for these Cruisers to come and test the water at Heavyweight it's no foregone conclusion that the likes of gassiev and Usyk would be outgunned at Heavyweight

Look at the trouble Hunter caused Usyk with by using his speed and 1-2, if Wilder has anything going for him is speed and a very good 1-2. Wilder does know how to use his reach and Usyk is better at using his jab tell me how he will be able to outjab Wilder?

You bring up the Spilka fight, I expect the fight to go similarly, Usyk will outbox Wilder for a portion of the fight and wilder will catch him with a big shot and take him out. I hope this fight does happen so we can see who is right, I dont think Usyk has the power, size or style necessary to beat Wilder or AJ, he could beat Parker right now and Ortiz vs Usyk is a tough fight for both.

I really like what I saw of Gassiev last night, but that was against a very very very basic fighter. Gassiev will have he'll against any large heavyweight with a jab, as Dorticos was landing it far too frequently. It wasn't a fast or well disguised jab either. Pro's for Gassiev are good stamina, patience and timing and his beard looks solid AF! ... But looking solid against 200lb men isn't the same as 240+ monsters.

Also, he's listed as 6'4? No chance, maybe 6'2 max.

    If he's 6'4 Dorticos is about 6'6.

Then Usyk is also 6'2 max.

I think Gassiev could fill out to be a top heavyweight but Joshua would be the last on my list to fight. Let’s keep him at cruiser for awhile. Who knows, maybe the Usyk battle will warrant a rematch.

    Joshua would knock him out.

Good big guy beats good small guy that is how it is.... Joshua is massive dude compared to Gassiev.

The myth that Spilka was outboxing Wilder is false. The same with Washington. Duhaupus if anything did damage to Wilder and he got stopped. Don't let the Joshua dramatics argue down using lies and exaggerations.
