He's obviously just saying outlandish things to garner publicity.

    All publicity is good publicity.

I don't think he truly believes what he's saying.

Instead of guys like Lennox giving his opinion, this guy should just be ignored.

This is the kind of thing that Floyd used to do before he had a fight coming up, or one of his opponents did.

He's just hyping his own fight with Ortiz, and a future one with AJ. He doesn't care if people are going to tune in to watch him lose, as long as they tune in.

He's happy to play the role of the bad guy.

I don't think it's over confidence or delusion, I just think he wants to stay in the public eye for as long as possible, and he'll go to any lengths to get there.

There's really no point in debating what he's said. Because from what we've seen of him so far, it's blatantly obvious that he couldn't have accomplished what he claims.

If he thinks he's that great, he should try to prove it and stop squashing rotten fruit.

Deontay probably heard the motivational propaganda of "you can dream it you can do it" non-sense a bit too often. He deluded himself with that BS. Sooner or later he will be brought back to reality and it will be a brutal awakening for little Deontay.

Gonna kick Marciano's record's ass then he's gonna take old man Louis's reign, and on top of it he'll own the finest KO record of all time.

Forget young Tyson. I hope for his sake that Wilder can KO an old Ortiz, for starters. Gramps is capable of taking Kid Wilder behind the woodshed for a spanking.

Somebody take those motivational tapes away from Deontay before he hurts himself.

The version that fought Holyfield possibly, the version that fought Tyson gives Wilder an even worse beating than the one he gave Tyson and in less than double the rounds.

A wild swinging, no defense having, mediocre chinned bomber with little going for himself outside of a big right hand is a stylistic foil for a prime Tyson? LOL.

God this general forum is ******ed.

I think Wilder would beat a young Tyson.

i.e when Tyson was 10 years old or less. And even then only just.

That said, Ali never waited 40 fights to face a legitimate threat to him.
