That may be but it's not what the record book says.
Either way I think Duran also matches up great with Robinson at WW

If Duran went as hard as he did against SRL Robinson would be a chance of sparking him at 147. A more likely scenario is that SRR fights him off early with some scorching power and speed and Duran has to go into caution mode thereby allowing Robinson a comfortable decision.

Truth be told i think anyone at 147 is a stab in the dark. Hearns is as good a mention as anybody as he had that ridiculous power and speed. I think he would have to stop Robinson to win tho.

At middle a few could potentially trouble him. I am talking SRR at his 160 best tho before Maxim. Hopkins is a good shout as he might be able to spoil his way to a close fight. Tactically he is brilliant. You'd have to favor Robinson tho. I think Robinson would decision Monzon and Hagler in great fights.

Maybe some of the murders row might be awkward. There's no-one even at 160 tho that i would take confidently. Incredible really given he was a natural welterweight.

The Tacoma Assassin could be awkward too.

I also think Mickey Walker could be a very live underdog at both weights. Especially middle.

why would I care what the record book says when in reality he outclassed and outboxed him?

Duran, would do much better. so would Leonard but I dont think either would win

    Two reasons.
It's the official dec.that counts and the other is that I'm sure just as many thought Basilio won that first fight. But hey if u don't care then it's a none issue

The 57 Robinson wasn't the man he'd been, he was 35yrs old. It's like saying if Michael Spinks could beat Holmes...........

please. that tiny armed BOY was lucky to even have the opportunity to be facing Robbie and fared poorly against top ranked middleweights. Most of Carmen's blows were off the mark and those that actually scored, lacked authority. it was like watching a man outscore an 17 year old

Carmen lost and even an official outcome cant cover up a bad decision

I' m being as diplomatic as I can about
Look I am being as diplomatic as I can as I have no hidden agenda here. Ray lost the official dec.and I believe most boxing fans agree with that. That's what counts. Now I have not watched this fight in over 10 yrs but I remember agreeing with the decision
Were all entitled to our own decision.
I' m not trying to argue with u man. Relax

Bear in mind Ray's age for the Basilio fights.36 for the first and a month off 37 for the second.

Greb. Hes super fast, strong, incredibly durable, smart, experienced against a wide range of styles, has a natural weight advantage, and throws tons of punches. A guy like that is difficult to beat anyway which is why Grebs record looks so good. Ive always favored him over Robinson anyway head to head based on all of the above.

I know you are and I believe in your integrity but judging by the films, Carmen isnt big enough and at a serious disadvantage, which is why I had to disregard the official decision. I believe Robbie got a bad rap in "losing" this decision and vaulted Carmen to a position he doesnt deserve
