Johansson had a perfect sheet against all the Brits he faced .Cooper,Erskine ,Richardson and London.
But would INGOS Bingo do for these British guys ?
    Tommy Farr ?
    Don Cockell ?
    Joe Bugner ?
    Herbie Hide ?
    Henry Akinwande ?

No one on the list that set the world alight but does Ingemar get a perfect 5 here .?

The Farr that faced Louis I think would outpoint Ingo,he was tough and could take a shot.
Cockell was a good boxer, but I think Ingo would catch him at some point and stop him.
Depending on which Bugner was in front of him for instance the one that faced Frazier then Bugner wins a decision, the Bugner that faced Jack Bodell loses by decision.
Herbie Hide is the old who lands first scenario,I think Ingo's fundamentals are slightly better, Hide was somewhat erratic, i'll go with Ingo by knockout, although it wouldn't surprise me if it was knockout the other way.
Akinwande was a big awkward spoiler, and I think his size and awkwardness would enable him to eke out a boring UD.

Good stuff.I've got Bugner at his best , messing Ingo about ,and getting a wide points win.
Farr could be good enough to beat him or bad enough to be KO'd .But I'll go with the Louis Farr out scoring him.
Cockell I see been stopped before ten rounds is up.
Hide could be I involved i n a good tear up here .I'll go with Ingo striking out for a ko
Henry maybe gets a decision because he's so damn awkward to fight.

    He beats
    Cockell
    Akinwande
Hide might be close, but I favour Ingo.
    He loses to Bugner,by dec.
He loses to Farr by close dec, or wins by the same margin.

Farr would probably take him, Bugner is a toss up, the rest he should be favored over.

Ingo was one of those guys that technically wasnt great but had a style designed completely around landing that right. He was very good sneaking it in or lulling you into complacency and then landing it. When it landed it was a game changer. Maybe the best right hand in history. Hes the type of guy that if any of those guys took that punch away they could beat him but I dont know that any of them could. Id give Farr the best chance based on his durability. Bugner I dont know. He was big and a good boxer but the guy never lived up to his potential and found a way to lose against guys he should have beaten. I can see him outpointing Ingo but I could also see him getting stung and basically fighting to survive, falling behind, and getting outpointed.

That is a possibility with Bugner ,he could kinda go in his Shell if hurt. But I don't see it with Ingo. I think he'd be confident and have no problem outscoring him here. Farr puts on a tough performance as he did against Louis and he walks away the winner.

Ill say that I think Bugner SHOULD be able to outbox him. But most of the guys Bugner lost to in his prime he should have outboxed and didnt. Usually it was because the other guy hit too hard or was too aggressive for Bugners liking. Thats a big problem here given Ingos power and success at the level Bugner performed at. To me its 50/50 at best.

Bugner could be his own worst enemy in my eyes sometimes. The man had talent but in some cases he'd put out a negative performance. Could do better should have been his motto .

Using Ernie Terrell 'octopus' tactics I might agree.
    Terrell-Bugner? Separated at birth bi-racial twins. :)

I agree 100% in my opinion the guy COULD have been a dominant guy in the mid/late 1970s. He had everything barring a huge punch and course the heart/will to really seperate himself from the pack.

Ingo would have to untangle himself with all those "" arms "".

But I think that was more Henry Akin that was like a octopus, Bugner had bags more talent.

Bugner wasn't that much of a clincher imo.
