He is what only 28? and making 20 mill per fight?

Floyd was over 30 before he started to make over 15 mill

Joshua can box for anther 10 years and and has huge potential to make more money

 

No because he's a HW and the chances of him losing multiple times is higher due to the power those guys have at that weight. He can be a star but not on the level of PBF or even Pac. He will also need to fight in America if he really wants to raise his profile here and get some of that good casino money.

 

I don't think so. Mayweather had a lot of other cash cows in and around his division to help build his fanbase and build interest in numerous big money fights. De La Hoya, Hatton, Cotto, Pac, Canelo.

In terms of drawing power Joshua is all alone at heavyweight, he can't jump weights and pick the most lucrative fights. He doesn't have a long list of big money fights or opponents that are deemed big threats.

Breaking America will be tough he really only has Wilder and once he beats him, he's back to fighting the likes of Fury, Usyk etc which would be hard sells in the US as there is no American involved and fact is the US market is where the really big money is made.

 

Naaa.. Plus most heavyweights end up getting KTFO at some point.. And AJ seems like he will be visiting the canvas again soon..

Damn that would annoy the hell out of Floyd. He already is quite jealous of how tall, young and handsome AJ is.

No one knows he made those comments.Even some of the hardcore boxing fans in the UK dont know he made those comments nevermind the Casuals.Sky and Hearn have covered it up well,i'm sure they told the media not to report it.Not 1 UK Media reported it,which is very strange and tells a lot.Instead who's name they mentioned.....you guessed it TYSON FURY.So if the UK dosent know how the hell will the American Media/fans beaware of it ??? On this forum also,a lot of members were getting suddenly banned for starting threads around Eddie Chambers/Joshua,very strange indeed.....

 

You are right, there was a complete media blackout about it, but people spread the word on social media. He was nailed on for SPOTY, but then mysteriously didn't even finish in the tip three. That's because most people DID hear about it. I haven't talked to any boxing fan whi hasn't.

I had to show my pals just last weekend what Joshua had put in his tweet to Chambers, and they are all boxing fans that go to fights regular. I'm not really surprised it hasn't hit main stream media or they are not commenting on it, suits the agenda, and for this reason only very few fans know about it and his fan base will hardly be affected..If it was the other way round it would be huge news

when he fought berto he didn't even break 400,000 buys

he needed pac/canelo/Oscar to do the huge numbers Joshua doesn't have cash cows in his division

 

Everyone needs a great dance partner to pull in the massive numbers.
At their peak Floyd and Manny could do close to a mil with average(in terms of popularity) opposition. Which is insane.
The hype those two had was insane.
