jimmy young? First of all Young was green when he lost by tko he was not knocked out it was in 1973.in the next fight in 1974 young was still green and they draw. you have to compare their fights against the same version of the same rival. No of them stopped a prime young (foreman did hurt him).
Norton was well past his prime vs holmes and he was trash vs shavers.
Charlie polite got stopped by joe frazier faster in 2 rounds.. And jose roman stopped him in a single round Just a fight after his fight with shavers but yeahi will give you this after all you got is...
    Like i said blahblahblah lol

(As Lyle did against a brain dead Foreman).
Where is a career defining win for Lyle? I already mentioned the opponents you mentioned as 'big' wins??
I'll give you Shavers but Lyle was 'toast' after that left hook, luckily at round's end.
Ron simply failed when given the opportunity to RISE to the next level
when matched against a top contender .
Fighters avoided him? Who? Frazier? Norton? Anyone else at that time?

You keep saying this bull**** but it is not truth... He did not failed against every top contender... Bugner was an european champion and a top contender , shavers was a top contender, bonavena was a top contender, peralta and mathis were pretty good fighters.lyle raped ellis before he fought the rematch with joe.frazier

Well it was a response to you making a thing out Foreman stopping Caldwell 6 seconds quicker than Shavers.

Do you realize how comical this is? You've undermined your own importance of it by mentioning Roman and Frazier. Do you think both of those guys hit harder than Shavers and George?
