Ward's coach & Hearn both say that Ward vs Bellew could be made

Doesn't make sense to me.

Ward is as much of a name in the UK as Bellew is in the US.....

Can't see enough Americans or Brits wanting to watch this fight.

I don't rate Bellew, but he should never have been fighting at light heavyweight.

As horrible as it sounds, he looked like a cancer patient he was that drained. (And i've unfortunately and sadly seen enough to make the comparison).

 

Bellew is fighting Haye in May, are they using Ward as a reserve in case Haye get's injured again?

The chances of this happening are slim to none. Haye will need to pull out, Ward will some how need to be convinced to fight in the UK and of course Ward thinks he can sell Wembley, so will only want to fight there and good luck trying to convince Spurs and the Premiere league to give up their stadium.

Honestly better chance that Charles Martin unifies the heavyweight division in 2018 than Ward fighting Bellew in May in the UK.

If the fights in England and bellew beats haye it will sell, ward is a bigger name over here than golovkin was before the brook fight and that fight sold well and got golovkin 5 mill, plus bellew is now a bigger name than brook just through beating haye the first time.

 

Just goes to show what a sleazy coward Ward is, retiring to get out of fighting his mandatories and now wants to come back for a easy payday,.

 

I hope Bellew punch him in the nuts.

Doubt Ward gets in the ring unless it's for a lucrative strap + big cash. Does bellew even have claim to a CW belt any more? Regardless, easy work for Ward.

 

Who would really want to see this? If Ward comes back it should be against either a top LHW, or a top Cruiser.
This is a little risk cashgrab, nothing more.

 

Theres no way fans would rather watch ward than GGG.
